Overview: The Scosche IPBTT Bottom Dock Bluetooth Transmitter for iPod incorporates a proprietary 30-pin Apple iPod dock connector and the latest Bluetooth technology for seamless integration with your iPod and most Bluetooth A2DP enabled products. 

iPod Compatibility: The IPBTT's dock connector supports all iPods with dock connectors. This unit does not support iPod Shuffle. The IPBTT is also compatible with the Apple iPhone/iPhone3G when the iPhone is in iPod mode for music audio playback only. This unit does not operate any phone functions of the iPhone.

Bluetooth Compatibility: The IPBTT features Bluetooth version 1.2 and supports Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) and Audio Video Remote Control Profile (AVRCP). These two Bluetooth profiles allow you to wirelessly transmit music from your iPod to your Bluetooth A2DP enabled aftermarket headunit so you can listen to your music stored on your iPod through your vehicle's audio system. The IPBTT is also compatible with all Bluelife receivers and headphones for in-home use. The IPBTT transmits its audio signal over 2.4Ghz frequency with a range of up to 30 feet.

Note: The IPBTT is not compatible with vehicle factory equipped Bluetooth systems.

Built-In Battery: The IPBTT utilizes an integrated Lithium-ion rechargeable battery (450maH) that lasts for 10 hours. The unit comes supplied with a USB charging cable which charges your iPod and the IPBTT at the same time when the IPBTT is connected to your iPod and the IPBTT's charging cable is plugged into it's proprietary mini-connector and connected to your PC.
