I do have an open mind about things and tried using this product. Well the outcome was the mount screw hole does not align correctly. I tried to avoid drilling it out in case I needed to return item but after taking off the all the rear panels and all I was hoping to accomplish the install. I did drill it out and still not enough room to make it fit. Now I'm stuck with something that is useless.

It takes a little effort to make it fit, but don't force it or the small tabs will break off.

Pros:

Easily adapt speakers to fit stock location without modifications to the chassis

Cons:

Thin plastic tabs are easy to break

I can't believe someone got this to fit in a 2012 Civic. I am using Polk 6 1/2 speakers and there is no way to lineup these at all. I am very upset with these.

the rear speaker covers from the car would not fit over the new speaker/bracket assembly because the screw attaching the assembly to the car would stick out, because the head of the screw was blocked by the speaker (polk 6 1/2"- speakers apparently too big......) . Needed a small cut out on the speaker cover to make the cover fit.

I would give 5 stars but they for a bit loose. They do fit and save time from trying to design your own mount our cut any metal. It would be nice if they fit more snug like the factory plates.

Pros:

Fit, time saver.

Cons:

Fit loose. Still wriggle a little on the clip side even after being screwed down.

These fit my Honda Fit perfectly, but one of the bottoms tabs broke off of one of them. It fit firmly enough without it, but I popped some automotive double-stick tape under that spot just in case.

Pros:

Great fit, lots of hole patterns for different speakers.

Cons:

Gotta make those tabs a little stronger.

This product gets 4 stars.. it could have 5.. but it does require modification. First off.. it is a perfect fit for our cars.. which is a 2006 Honda Civic. Only thing is that you need to "countersink" the OEM screw that goes at the top of the bracket. To do this, you either need to get a drill bit that is slightly larger than the head of the screw you are screwing in.. or you can scrape a bigger whole with a blade.. or whatever.. i had to use both. The way it protrudes on the side of the door is actually less than the factory speaker.. so.. it is a good tight nice fit.

Not a Good Experience for 2012 CR-V

I received these adapter rings free with my order of Polk DXi6500's for my 2012 CR-V EX. There are three problems with these adapters: 1) The tabs that go into the slots in the door break off very easily - very poor design, 2) The speaker mounts at the wrong rotation making the terminals short against the narrow portion of the door opening, 3) The location of the single mounting hole for screwing the bracket into the factory mount is off - you cannot align the factory screw to the factory hole. I threw away both adapters and used the adapter rings that were included in the Polk speaker boxes, and they worked perfectly!

Pros:

It was free. The plastic is recyclable

Cons:

It cost me wasted time.

Worked fine... Had to engineer a fit ring to because I chose a smaller size speaker than 6.5 inch... Install went smooth once the silicone I put on fit ring dried... Tough to wait though...

These brackets were the only part of the installation I had a problem with. The holes did not match up with any of the holes on my car or the speakers. I know Crutchfield wants to keep it simple and not ask customers to use too many tools, but a drill was very helpful. I drilled my own holes and made the speakers fit. Maybe they should exlpain this.

The speakers fit into this adapter very well, but as another reviewer noted; the single bolt that secures the bracket to the car will not tighten all the way down without coming in contact with the rim of the speaker. I chose to just tighten until it hit the rim of the speaker. This seems to work fine. I am guessing that if you have purchased a speaker smaller than a 6-1/2, then you won't have this problem. It is most likely a problem with the speaker size rather than the bracket itself.

Fits perfectly

Cons:

May have a slight problem installing a 6-1/2 speaker.

These were the supplied brackets for my 2012 Honda Civic. The screws that hold the speakers to these brackets were not included....so a trip to the hardware store to find something that worked. Also, the single factory bolt that holds these in the doors/deck do not line up seamlessly, some work and creativity needed to install.

Does half the job, it fits the car like it should but my crutchfield P-65 speakers do not fit them. It took me hours of trying different things until I finally gave up and used ty wraps. Unfortunately, if it is not the speakers that suck, I think the ty wraps lower the quality since it is IMPOSSIBLE to attach my speakers in a firm position (ie. because of the lag room in the ty wraps, the quality of the speakers isn't as good as it should be. Hope that all made sense

Pros:

Fits car perfectly

Cons:

Too much work and time to get the speakers on, and it doesn't fit the speakers. Also, it could just be my speakers, maybe others fit better
