I purchased these speakers because the factory ones were blown. These sound just as good if not better. They seem not to distort when i turn the volume all the way up!

Very good sound at a fair price. Put this in my 99 Trans Am and it blended with the other speakers in the Monsoon system to give excellent sound.

I really like these speakers and can't wait to complete my setup. I have them in my door panels and they are great sounding and crisp with the highs while delivering the bass and mid to complete the sound.

Great for the price

I received these as a gift to replace the factory speakers in my '98 Blazer. For the price these offer great sound. However, the bass is lacking and disappears completely at higher volume. This wasn't much of an issue to me personally, as I have an amp and sub that I'll be installing when the weather permits or I can get into my buddy's shop. You're better off buying something else if you want decent bass out of just door speakers.

I will be buying another set of these to replace the speakers in the rear doors soon.

Pros:

Cheap, great sound, easy install

Cons:

Very little to no bass at any volume

These speakers were a great replacement for the stock equipment that came with the Subaru. The original speakers were blown, these fixed the problem with little ease and minimal expense

Great radio at a very good price. This radio is full of great features at a low price which, when Crutchfield's great service is factored in, makes it inexpensive. The HD radio works flawlessly and reception of both AM and FM is great. The ability to utilize an AUX or USB input is another great feature. And the hidden CD slot behind the head unit's drop down door means it'll keep a great deal of dust out of the radio's internals.

Pros:

Inexpensive. Great AM/FM reception. Ample power. And now read the list of features....too lengthy to list here.

Cons:

The dim-able display offers only one 'step' so, for my eyes, it's either to bright at night and OK in the day, or too dim in the day and OK at night. Not a big deal and not a deal breaker.

The three way provides good tone from low to high. The outer flange where the screw holes would have been nice if it was more flatter at least for 93 Honda. Overall its a good replacement from stock.

Mid-priced, mid-quality

As anticipated for the money I spent, these speakers were a minimal improvement over the factory Blaupunkt 15W paper speakers that came with my 2008 Chevy Colorado LT Crew Cab, which had terrible sound to begin with....I hooked 4 of these up to a Planet Audio 150x2 amp, in parallel by side (L & R), giving about ~37.5W RMS per speaker @ 2 ohms. I also tried running them directly from my Pioneer FH-X700BT deck, at ~14W each, and they sounded about the same as the factory speakers. This amp sounded great with my old Boston 6 1/2" speakers I had in a previous vehicle. Even with the Speaker Baffles in the doors, they just don't give much of a punch at all, and the highs leave something to be desired. I added a set of 3/4" Tweeters to make up for it, but the audio quality is still not the level I'd like. For the money I spent, I can't complain too much, as they were an improvement, if only minimal, from the stock speakers. I'll be adding 8" subs in the back seat to give me the bass I want, but I may look at replacing these door speakers for a better mid to high range sound in the future.

Pros:

Cheap, easy to install with the included kit from Crutchfield.

Cons:

Not much low range to be had, mids sound OK, highs are weak. Recommend buying either a more expensive set of 6-1/2's, or a set of tweeters to offset this shortcoming. Minimal improvement over factory speakers even with an amp.

purchased these week ago and installed them today. can honestly say my OEM speakers had more bass and depth overall even when they were blown. speaker wire hooks ups worked good instalation was tricky as the new mounting brackets and hardware i got with them kinda sucked using little screws and nuts. after paying for the 4 of them im not really to fond of them. sound to have a little to much flutter when bass hit or high notes. for the price for each front and back i guess i cant complain. thought kenwood was better quality!!!

wiring was great.

mounting brackets and hardware kinda sucked and was a pain.

They really don't sound that much better than the factories I replaced. Maybe they need more power. Only pushing them with JVC head unit. Also mounted in doors. Maybe that's the problem. I remember Kenwood used to be great. I would not recommend these.

Nice Speakers, Poor Installation Kit

Overall, I like the sound quality of these speakers, but the installation kit provided for the front doors of the 2007 Monte Carlo did not work out at all. The adapters were not needed (nor did they fit), as the speakers fit perfectly in to the mounting plate found on the car. The wiring harness adapter did not come close to plugging in to the factory harness. I had to splice in to the factory wiring and use the wiring that came with the speakers. I also bought a pair of these speakers for the rear deck--the adapter and wiring harness for the rear worked out perfectly. If this came with a harness that worked in the front doors, this would be a five star review.

Pros:

Good sound quality for a relatively inexpensive speaker

Cons:

Front installation kit did not fit.

Gave a set of 4 to my grand son for his birthday and we installed them. The speakers are great the install directions were the best along with the wire tails and speaker shims. Had A QUESTION during the install process, called Crutchfield the tech walked us thru it, quick and easy. Crutchfield THE BEST!
