    Overview: The Sanus VisionMount VMPL50A is a tilting wall-mount for 32" to 70" flat-panel TVs. The VMPL50A's solid heavy-gauge steel construction offers a sleek, high-tech look while providing strength and durability. The VMPL50A utilizes Sanus Systems' Virtual Axis tilting system to provide easy adjustment of viewing angle with just the touch of a finger. The Sanus wall-mount also features ProSet post-installation height and leveling adjustment to ensure your TV is perfectly positioned after hanging. Adjustable TV brackets offer lateral shift ability to allow perfect TV placement, even with off-center wall studs. Your flat-panel TV will be positioned just 1.8125" from the wall for a clean, low-profile appearance.

    Compatibility: The Sanus VMPL50A universal wall-mount bracket is designed to fit flat-panel plasma and LCD monitors from 32" to 70". The TV can have a maximum weight of 150 pounds.

    Construction: The bracket is constructed of heavy-gauge steel with a durable powder coated black finish.

    Mounting: The wall plate must be mounted to wall studs or anchored to a brick, block, or concrete wall using the supplied lag bolts. The slots in the wall plate can accommodate a variety of stud spacing, allowing you to easily mount the TV to wall studs that are 16" or 24" on center. Once the wall plate is anchored to the wall studs and the monitor brackets (with the TV attached) are snapped into the wall plate, the TV can slide left to right, allowing you to center the TV on the wall. After the TV is secured, it will be held approximately 1.8125" from the wall.

    Note: Each monitor bracket has multiple bolt holes and can accommodate vertical hole spacing (on the back of the TV) up to 17.25" (437mm). Since the monitor brackets can slide on the wall plate, the horizontal hole spacing on the back of the TV can range from 1.9375" to 26.5" (48 to 673mm).

    Steel Stud Mounting: If you wish to mount this Sanus wall mount in a building with steel stud walls, you will need the Sanus SSMK1 Steel Stud Mounting Kit (051SSMK1). Steel stud walls are typically found in commercial applications, such as office buildings, warehouses, and condominiums.

    Mounting Hardware: The VMPL50A comes with M4, M6, and M8 bolts to mount the monitor brackets to your TV.

    VESA: Given the mounting bracket's range of motion, it will accommodate the following VESA hole patterns in accordance with industry standards set by the Video Electronics Standards Association:

    • 200mm x 100mm
    • 200mm x 200mm
    • 300mm x 200mm
    • 300mm x 300mm
    • 400mm x 200mm
    • 400mm x 300mm
    • 400mm x 400mm
    • 500mm x 200mm

    Rail Design: The wall-mount's rail design allows your mounted television to shift left and right for perfect placement, even with off-center studs.

    ProSet Post-Installation: The ProSet feature allows you to also make height (+/-5") and level (+/-2.5°) adjustments.

    Virtual Axis Technology: Once the TV is secured to the wall, you can adjust the TV's angle. With the Virtual Axis fingertip tilt system, the TV can tilt 8.5° up or 10° down, and you can lock the position by simply tightening a knob on each monitor bracket.

    Installation Tools: The following tools are recommended for mounting the VMPL50A:

    • Stud finder
    • Awl
    • Level
    • Tape Measure
    • Hammer
    • Phillips-head screwdriver
    • Electric drill
    • Drill bits: 7/32" (wood studs) and 3/8" (masonry)
    • Wrench or ratchet and socket: 1/2"

    Used to mount my 50" Panasonic Plasma to my bedroom wall. Brackets were easy to mount to the television, and the wall plate mounted to the wall with nary an issue. I did have to have someone hold the wall plate steady as a leveled it and marked the mounting holes (it's HEAVY, but that's a good thing). Once attached, it was easy as lifting the TV up and clicking it into place.

    Ordered 2 mounts on Wednesday, arrived on Friday...just in time for my installer. Shawn (Rep) helped allot and confirmed that I was making the right choice for my Sony 32 (mount wall bracket was just the exact size of the TV itself..perfect) and 42 inch flat screens. Mounting was simple and the tilt and horizontal adjustments are just what I wanted. Crutchfield (Shawn) answered all my questions...not like the BIG BOX stores, who only sell what 2 units they stock and do not have a clue as to how they operate and leave you more confused than when you entered the store.

    Great Wall mount... The slotted screw holes on the base ended up reall coming in handy as my drill found a drywall screw and moved a bit. I was still able to get mount secured to metal wall studs using the sanus snap toggles.

    I was very pleased with this product, easy to put together, and the TV snaps right in place after securing the mount. I would have rated it higher if it was a little wider. It is just wide enough to catch two studs so I had to mount it a little off center for proper placement of the TV, all and all it feels very secure.

    Cheapest on the net. Arrived ahead of schedule. Quality product. Instructions were easy. My husband had our new 60" TV on the wall in about an hour. And that was more because it took time to figure out all the cables & cords. Very solid.

    The mount works fine, if you plan on putting up once and never having to take it down ever again. It is an absolute pain to take down once you have it tilted downwards at an angle.

    Easy to install but when used to hold a 50"plasma, you cannot reach behind to adjust
    the angle. The mount is too close to the wall while the adjusting wing nut-like knobs
    are too far in to reach by hand. Ended up using a ratchet, with 2-10" extensions, and a
    socket with and Allen wrench head to tighten down the knobs. A bit of a pain since not
    everyone is going to have those types of tools just laying about.
    Other than that it's a sturdy mount and, once adjusted, holds the plasma in position.

    A great product!

    Solidly constructed, instructions were ok (though not really necessary if you've done this type of install before or have a general idea of what your doing), and there was plenty of hardware included for all types of installations. I had no issues mounting my 55" with this wall mount. It looks absolutely fantastic up on the wall instead of on the provided stand and also helped move my TV back over another foot from my viewing location.

    The only caveat of the install was I decided not to use any of the included spacers as to minimize the amount of distance between the wall and the TV and to maximize the distance from the TV to my viewing position. As a result, my friend and I, while installing, had to mount and unmount the TV several times to adjust the tilt and height so as to get it perfectly level and the proper amount of tilt. Please note this is not a flaw in the mount, rather it was a choice of mine to have the TV as flush as possible to the wall.

    Overall, I am thourougly pleased with the fit and finish of the product, the end result, and would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a nice wall mount!

    ( I apologize if this review doesn't come out cleanly, I typed it three times and it kept breaking up this way. Sorry!)

    Purchased this mount with our new Samsung PN50C550 TV and the mount looks great
    on the wall. Upgraded the LAG bolts for some SPAX bolts due to some wall issues.
    The mount is solid now. The mount keeps the TV close to the wall, if you had a lot of
    cable connectors on the back of your TV look for some cables with angled plugs
    because of the clearance on the back of the TV depending on the angle. Great mount,
    easy (and simple) instructions.
