Features
Overview: The KCA-iP200 USB
Direct Connection Cable for iPod allows you to connect compatible iPods with a
USB-equipped Kenwood head unit. This cable enables the head unit to control and
charge the iPod while connected, as well as enable high-speed iPod data
communications of 12Mbps. This 2-meter cable has an iPod dock connector on one
end and a Type A USB plug and 3.5mm stereo miniplug on the other end.
iPod Compatibility: The
KCA-iP200 is compatible with Fifth Generation iPods (iPod with video), iPod
classic (80/120/160GB), iPod nanos (1st/2nd/3rd/4th generation), iPod touch
(1st/2nd generation), and iPhone/iPhone3G.
Note: Your iPod should be updated with the latest Apple firmware.
Kenwood Head Unit Compatibility:
The cable is compatible with 2007 and later Kenwood control units equipped with
a USB terminal and an aux input, including the following models: KDC-MP435U,
KDC-MP535U, KDC-MP735U, DPX-502, KDC-X491, KDC-X591, KDC-X791, KDC-X891, and
KDC-X991.
Note: Kenwood has released a software update that can be loaded
onto a USB thumb-drive to update compatible 2007 Kenwood radios so they can
operate the iPod classic, iPod touch, iPod nano (3rd generation) and iPhone using
the KCA-iP200. The software update can be found at the following website:
