Features
Compatibility: The enclosure is
designed to fit under the passenger side rear seat in 1999 Ford F-150/F-250
extended cab trucks. The main body of the enclosure is made of particle board
covered with medium gray box carpet. The plastic fascia is matched to Ford
factory interior colors. Check the Crutchfield Vehicle Selector to make sure the
enclosure is compatible for your vehicle.
Recommended Woofers: This is a
"Type 1" enclosure, made for use with drivers designed for small
sealed enclosures. The internal volume is 0.7 cu/ft, and the woofers share the
chamber--there is no divider separating the enclosure into two chambers.
Installation
Terminal Cup: There is a single
terminal cup with two spring loaded binding posts, capable of accepting bare or
tinned wire, pin connectors, banana plugs or dual banana plugs. The enclosure is
meant to be used with a bridged or mono amplifier.
Note: It is
recommended that two 8-ohm speakers, wired in parallel each other, should be
used with this enclosure, to present a 4-ohm load to the terminal cup. Most
amplifiers are stable to 4-ohms bridged. If two 4-ohm speakers, wired in
parallel, are used, it may present too low an impedance for the amplifier and
can cause damage.
Hardware: Six replacement bolts
are provided to take the place of the original Ford factory passenger side rear
seat hinge bolts (the Ford bolts are longer than necessary and, if not replaced,
would damage the top of the enclosure). Sixteen 1" self-tapping screws are
also provided for mounting the two woofers to the enclosure.
Seat Cushion: Once the
enclosure is installed, the bottom seat cushion will no longer fold over.
