Overview: The iHome iP56 Portable iPod/iPhone Speaker Dock
lets you listen to your docked iPod or iPhone in your home, at your office, on
your deck, or on the go. The iP56 includes SRS TruBass circuitry and 4 speakers
in Reson8 chambers for a great audio experience. The retracting universal dock
charges and plays iPhone and docking iPod models. The built-in lithium-ion
battery is rechargeable, so you can enjoy music anywhere without worrying about
batteries.
4 Speaker Design: The iHome iP56 features two active and two passive
speakers in Reson8 chambers for enhanced audio performance.
SRS TruBass: The iHome iP56 utilizes SRS TruBass digital sound processing to give your music
extra bass and clarity.
iPod/iPhone Dock: The iHome iP56 has a retracting iPod/iPhone dock to
charge and play back audio from your iPod or iPhone. Docking an already playing
iPod or iPhone will automatically turn on the iHome iP56. The iP56 offers no
display or playback controls. The iHome iP56 supports the following iPod and
iPhone models (as of Nov. 2010).

Note: Apple iPod/iPhone software updates may
change functionality results. If you download a newer software
version, you may need to reset the device and your iPod/iPhone
to regain functionality. If this doesn't work, you may need to
revert to the older software version or wait until an newer
software update is available. Not compatible with iOS 4.0 update
for iPhone and iPod touch.
iPod/iPhone Charging: The iHome iP56 will charge your docked
iPod/iPhone via AC or battery power. The iP56 will stop charging once your iPod
or iPhone is completely charged.
Note: If your iPod/iPhone has no initial battery charge, then this
unit will not recognize it.
Auxiliary Input: The iHome iP56 is equipped with a
rear-panel 3.5mm auxiliary input for connecting an external audio source such as
your MP3 player or laptop.
Rechargeable Battery: The iHome iP56 has an internal rechargeable
lithium ion battery which can last up to 10 hours. The battery condition indicator is located on top of the
unit. When fully charged, the indicator will glow steadily. When the battery
needs charging, the indicator will flash. To charge the internal battery,
connect the iP56 to an AC power outlet.
Note: The iP56 uses an internal lithium-ion battery that may be
recharged hundreds of times and should last the lifetime of the device. The
rechargeable battery is also recyclable.
AC Power: The iHome iP56 also operates off of standard household AC
current using the supplied AC power adapter (100-240V).
Carrying Case: The iHome iP56 includes a carrying case for storage and
transport. The unit features foldaway feet to make it more compact so it can fit
into the case.
