The BC2 wired remote bass control allows you to change the level on a Clarion DPX amplifier without having to stop your car. You can flush-mount this remote bass knob or attach it under your dash with the integrated mounting bracket, so you can boost the amp's level with a twist of the knob. And with 20 feet of connecting cable, it'll reach your amp from almost any mounting location.

Overview: The Clarion BC2 Bass Remote Control is a wired bass-level control designed for select Clarion DPX amplifiers, including the DPX11551, DPX1851, and the DPX2251. The BC2 Bass Remote Control features a rotary bass knob and an integrated mounting bracket to mount the bass knob under the dash. The BC2 comes with a 20' remote cable which features an RJ-25 connector on each end and plugs into the rear of the bass remote control and the remote level input of your compatible Clarion DPX amplifier.

Does what it's supposed to. Level Control.

Clarion specifically says its a level control, and that's exactly what it is. This is not a boost control. Read any of the official clarion amp application guides and you will see its a level control. Clarion amps have a boost on the amp only, the cable does not effect the boost.

With that said, it does exactly what it's supposed to. Changes the output level. The potentiometer has a nice sturdy feel to it and is easy to use. Easy to install as well, cable is easily long enough for almost any install.

I've been using it for a few years. First with a DPX1800 and now with a DPX11551. I never use boost, so i wouldn't own this thing if that's what it did.

If you need a level control for your clarion amps, this is the device for you.

Not worth it

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

They need to reword the device and say it is a "boost" not a "control." It
barely makes a difference. If the cops are in sight, you turn your volume down,
not this bass boost. I fabricated it into my 2000 Jeep Wrangler into one of the
blank switch slots. It looks good, but has very little effect.
