Features

Overview: The AudioQuest SorboGel Damping and Isolation System includes four "Q-Feet". The Q Feet are placed underneath your speakers and electronic components to absorb external vibration and resonances from the equipment.

SorboGel: The Q Feet are made of SorboGel, a dense, visco-elastic polymer in a semi-liquid/semi-solid state. Its very long molecules turn kinetic energy (vibration) into an insignificant amount of heat.

Performance: Using the Q Feet will improve the sound and picture of your A/V system by both isolating and damping unwanted vibrations. Harmful resonances from speakers and subwoofers can enter into DVD players and receivers if not absorbed.

Usage: The four Q Feet are to be placed near the corners of your component or speakers, allowing the component's feet to hang without touching anything. If your subwoofer's feet are taller than the Q Feet, you should remove the subwoofer feet. The PVC plastic trays are used to protect your furniture, because the SorboGel will damage the finish of whatever it touches. (To prevent unseen marks on the underside of your components, you can use a simple plastic film such as a food wrap.)

Capacity: Each individual Q Foot will support up to 6-1/2 pounds--the four enclosed in this package will accommodate components up to 26 pounds. For heavier components, more Q Feet will be needed.
