Why do I need an enclosure?

An enclosure is simply the box that houses your sub; sealed and ported enclosures are the most popular types. A sealed enclosure is usually smaller in size, sacrificing a little volume level to deliver more accurate bass. The ported enclosure features a vent which allows bass waves to escape from behind the mounted sub, augmenting the bass coming off the front of the sub. Ported boxes are louder, bigger, and a little less accurate. Every sub works best in the size and type of enclosure that's recommended by the manufacturer, so make sure you match your sub with the right box.

Sound Ordnance's rugged Bass Bunker enclosures come built to last and ready to help your sub deliver real low-frequency firepower. These unloaded boxes feature high-grade, medium-density fiberboard construction, with sealed inner braces that help combat resonance by reducing vibrations. Rounded outside corners and recessed panels allow them to fit into more vehicles, while tough black carpeting defends against incoming nicks and scratches. Bass Bunkers make a great solution when building your own box is not an option.

The BB10-75S sealed enclosure holds one 10" subwoofer and offers an internal volume of 0.76 cubic feet. Just add the right sub, amp, and wiring, then mount the enclosure securely, and you're ready to hit the road with some real bass artillery in your arsenal.

Features

Materials: The Sound Ordnance BB10-75S Bass Bunker is an unloaded, hatchback-style sealed enclosure for a single 10" subwoofer. It is constructed of 5/8" MDF (medium-density fiberboard), covered in black carpet.

Internal Box Volume: The enclosure has 0.76 cubic feet of airspace.

Terminals: The BB10-75S is equipped with a pair of spring-post speaker terminals, mounted in the rear panel. The spring terminals will accept bare wire, pin connectors, and single banana plugs, but are spaced too far apart for dual banana plugs. Inside the enclosure, the terminals have an attached 18" length of speaker wire for connecting the subwoofer.

Brackets: Brackets for securing the enclosure to your vehicle are recommended.

had a 10" MTX gathering dust and decided to put it to use. got the box from the outlet, a speaker had been put in previously, so there were already screw holes. luckily they matched my woofer. installed in 5 minutes and playing. works great, wish I had a better woofer, but a sub and box for this price is hard to beat! this box is well made and looks good. I like the binding posts, they are good quality.

For not knowing much about subs and bunkers along with the whole 9 yards, I'd say I'm satisfied. The sub fit nicely into the bunker a good friend of mine strapped it fast to the back of my vehicle.

Pros:

Good construction. Spring loaded wire connectors made this a GREAT value.

I was a bit worried at first that this box was only 5/8 thick, but once I hooked it up to a Polk db1040 and a boston 300 RMS amp it put my worries out the door. I am impressed with the quality and durability of this box. I highly recommend this unit for any style woofer, you will not be disappointed.

I have been updating the sound system in my Sequoia over the last couple of months. Before I could get the sub box built, I scheduled a week long photo safari to Florida. I saw an add in a Crutchfield catalog for this series of pre-built cabinets. After talking to a helpful Chrutchfield advisor, I ordered this model. With free shipping, I got it in 2 days. The box is well built and nicely covered. It comes with a recessed connector cup installed that will accept several types of speaker wire terminations. It is doing the job very nicely, and I am greatly enjoying my new system on my trip.
