Features

Overview: The 2420M is a motion sensor that will turn INSTEON controlled lights on and off in response to movement; it can be used indoors or out. There is a photocell built-in so it can be set to only turn lights on at night. Up to 32 INSTEON devices can be linked to the 2420M. When triggered, the motion sensor communicates wirelessly with the INSTEON Access Points in the system (item number 7262443P).

INSTEON System: This line of lighting and appliance control utilizes INSTEON technology, using existing power wires as well as wireless radio frequency (RF) to send home automation control signals to INSTEON devices throughout the house. You must have at least two INSTEON Access point couplers/signal repeaters (item number 7262443P) installed to control the system in a typical residence (2-phase wiring).

Options: There are jumpers inside the motion sensor allowing these adjustments:

• Sensitivity: sets the sensor's sensitivity to motion
• LED: turn built-in LED on/off
• Night Only: turn lights on only at night, or any time
• On Only: disable the off command, so once the lights are turned on the motion sensor doesn't prompt them to turn off
