Features
Overview: The iSimple Gateway Automotive Media
Interface (ISMZ571) seamlessly connects select iPods & iPhoned to many 2009-2011 Mazda
factory stereos. The iSimple Gateway Automotive Media
Interface also offers an auxiliary input for connection of other portable audio
devices to your factory stereo. In addition, the iSimple ISMZ571 can be connected to the SiriusConnect
Satellite Radio tuner or the iSimple HD Radio tuner (both sold separately). The
iSimple Gateway Automotive Media Interface provides full control of these
connected devices (except Auxiliary) through your vehicle's factory installed
radio & steering wheel controls. The ISMZ571 will retain your original factory system features, such as
satellite radio & rear seat entertainment (if equipped).
Note: You can only connect two of the supported devices
(iPod/iPhone, Auxiliary, Sirius Satellite Radio, or HD Radio).
Vehicle Compatibility: The iSimple Gateway Automotive Media Interface
(ISMZ571) is compatible with the select 2009-2011 Mazda vehicles
equipped with a factory radio which supports Satellite Radio. The
Mazda factory radio must have a button labeled "SAT". This indicates that the
factory radio is satellite ready. The iSimple Gateway ISMZ571 is compatible with
the following Mazda vehicles (as of November 2011).

Made for iPod/iPhone Compatible: The iSimple Gateway Automotive Media
Interface (ISMZ571) features an 11' iPod/iPhone cable to connect your Apple iPod
or iPhone to your compatible Mazda factory radio. The iSimple Gateway ISMZ571
supports audio playback, browsing controls, information display, & charging of your Apple iPod or iPhone through your factory radio. You can
also control your connected iPod/iPhone from your factory steering wheel
controls or choose to continue to use your iPod/iPhone's clickwheel or
touchscreen. You are able to browse your iPod/iPhone's music, by Artist, Album,
Genre, & Playlist in alphabetical order. The iSimple ISMZ571 is "made for
iPod/iPhone" compatible & supports the following iPod/iPhone functions (as of
November 2011).

Note: Apple iPod/iPhone software updates may change
functionality results. If you download a newer software version, you may
need to reset the factory headunit and your iPod/iPhone to regain
functionality. If this doesn't work, you may need to revert to the older
software version or wait until a newer software update is available.
iPod Compatibility Note:
The Mazda 6 & CX-9 equipped with mid-line & navigation radio will only
support basic iPod operation. Mid-line radios will have a small color LCD screen
in the middle of the face of the radio.
Sirius Satellite Radio Ready: The iSimple Gateway ISMZ571 allows you
to listen to Sirius Satellite Radio in your vehicle by connecting the
SiriusConnect Vehicle Tuner (607SCC1,
sold separately) via proprietary add-on Satellite Radio tuner cable (541ISSR11, sold separately). Once the Sirius Satellite Radio tuner is connected,
the iSimple Gateway interface offers Satellite Radio audio playback, control,
and information display from your factory radio.
Note: A subscription is required to receive satellite radio
programming from SIRIUS. SIRIUS Satellite Radio features more than 120
streams of original programming beamed coast-to-coast, including 65 streams
of commercial-free, digital-quality music, and news, talk, sports,
entertainment, and children's programming.
HD Radio Ready: The iSimple Gateway ISMZ571 allows you to listen to HD
Radio in your vehicle by connecting the iSimple HD Radio Tuner (Model #
HDRT,
sold separately from the manufacture). Once the HD Radio tuner is connected, the iSimple Gateway
module offers HD Radio audio playback, control, and information display from
your factory radio.
Auxiliary Input: The iSimple Gateway Automotive Media Interface is
equipped with a right-angle male 3.5mm stereo connector & a pair of female
stereo RCA jacks for connecting an external portable audio device, which features
an audio output or headphone output.
Note: Only one device can be connected to the unit's auxiliary
input at one time.
Dip Switches: The iSimple Gateway ISMZ571 features four dip
switches to configure the module for your compatible Mazda vehicle.
Vehicle Harness: You will need to disconnect the Mazda factory radio's harness
& plug the iSimple Gateway's vehicle harness
into the back of the Mazda factory radio. The Mazda
factory radio's harness then plugs into the iSimple Gateway's vehicle harness.
