Factory Install Look

Written By Anonymous, Garland, TX on Tuesday, May 28, 2013
Installed in a 2007 Toyota Tundra
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Good quality and perfect fit. Gives the look of a factory install with a double dim.
Pros:
Easy install and mounting to DVD receiver. Nice tight fit in the dash.
Cons:
Cutting out spacer for double dimm could be difficult without the right tools.

The install kit fit EVERYTHING perfectly. I was concerned that it would make my dash look bad but it looks factory. This is awesome, especially given that I paid nothing.
Pros:
Perfect fit, perfect match
Cons:
none

Not the best color match.

Written By Tim, Grand Forks,ND on Monday, April 01, 2013

Not the exact color. It's the color it's says it is but not a match to my HVAC controls or stock radio. Which is a metallic black. Like other reviews state it's cheaply made. I can say I did some serious off roading and the mounts held.

2013 Tundra Crewmax

Perfect match with the factory interior. Fits very well. No rattles or vibrations at all. I do recommend using your factory stereo mounting brackets. They are metal and the ones that come the kit are plastic.
Pros:
Charcoal color is a perfect match with my interior.
Cons:
None

2008 Toyota Tindra Fits Perfect

Written By Joe G., New Britain, CT on Sunday, February 24, 2013
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Fit perfect on my 2008 Toyota Tundra. Some parts not needed but better to have too many than not enough. Went in easy and looks great.
Pros:
Fit my truck perfectly. Couldn't ask for better.
Cons:
Directions are a little iffy but common sense will prevail.

Fit's just fine

Written By Cody, Ft. Worth, TX on Wednesday, February 06, 2013
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Works great, and looks like it was put in the dash from the factory. One recommendation, is to keep the yellow clips from the unit you're replacing. Mine did not come with them and they do well to hold the mount in place better.
Pros:
Looks like an OEM product
Cons:
Missing yellow clips

Perfect Match

Written By Mike S, Maine on Thursday, October 04, 2012
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

People that see this thing can't believe that it didn't come from Toyota. A *perfect* match.
Pros:
Perfect match!
Cons:
Made for either single or double din. If using a double din, you need to cut the center out. I used a hacksaw. It would have been nice if they just sold double/single models rather than requiring a hacksaw for use in double din. (I mean are people really buying this today and using single din?)

Charcoal is the way to go

Written By Edom, wa on Wednesday, August 22, 2012

If you have a Toyota Tundra (I believe 2007+) and you are wondering about which finish to order, the Charcoal is the dash kit for the "sparkly" trim. I didn't purchase it here rather at a retailer, which may have a similar name as a forest in Brazil/S.A. The finish matches perfectly in my 2011 Toyota Tundra.

The piano black matched my factory dash perfectly. My wife loves the look much better than the other aftermarket install kits she has seen in cars.
Pros:
Fits and looks like it is from the factory.

OK KIT

Written By JesseS, Lawton, Ok on Saturday, April 21, 2012
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I got this for my Pioneer AVH-P4400BH. This does not go with the 2011 Tundra as for the 'Finish'. The Tundra has a Metallic Black finish and this has the Glossy Black finish. Everything in the product is plastic. I did not like that there two bolds to hold the entire piece in the truck. The factory stereo has two in the front and two bolts in the back to make sure the stereo does not move and it is stays in place. Another thing is that the side brackets to hold the stereo just slide into the harness of the product and then you screw in 4 screws to hold the stereo. I just don't like that this whole thing is made of plastic and few bolts to hold it in place. I will say that it does fit good with the truck. It does not look like it is out of place or gaps.
Pros:
Fits good with truck and no gaps
Cons:
All plastic, feels flimsy like it will break to easily, only two bolts to hold it in place inside the truck, side brackets slide inplace to hold stereo in main harness nothing actually making one piece

Excellent kit

Written By trb, Woonsocket, RI on Tuesday, April 03, 2012
Installed in a 2008 Toyota Tundra
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This was a great kit for my 2008 Toyota Tundra. The glossy look perfectly matches the HVAC controls panel and makes it look like a factory install. The fit and finish were great. My only complaint would be the cheap plastic brackets, but I was able to use the factory metal brackets, so I didn't end up using them anyways.
Pros:
Great looking kit. Makes for a truly professional/factory look and feel install. Easy to install.
Cons:
Cheap plastic brackets.
