Overview:The
Garmin GTM 35 is an add-on traffic receiver and 12-volt power adapter for your
compatible Garmin nuvi GPS portable navigator. The GTM 35 delivers Traffic
Message Channel (TMC) information from NAVTEQ Traffic, including road conditions
and traffic delays, to your compatible Garmin GPS device. NAVTEQ Traffic
information is broadcast over the FM Radio Data System (RDS). When traffic
information is received, your Garmin GPS portable navigator displays traffic
delays on the map and uses the information to avoid traffic delays and find the
fastest routes. The Garmin GTM 35 includes premium traffic for North America for the lifetime of the product. The GTM 35
also acts as an in-vehicle power charger.
Note: The Garmin GTM 35 is an add-on device and requires
the connection of a compatible Garmin nuvi GPS portable navigator. The GTM
35 receives signals from the traffic service provider and displays that
information on your compatible GPS device.

Note: The GTM 35 is fitted with a right-angle mini-USB
(type-B) connector which plugs into the mini-USB (type-B) port of your
compatible Garmin nuvi GPS portable navigator.
100% Subscription Free Traffic: The Garmin GTM 35 with
lifetime traffic gives you 100% subscription-free lifetime traffic updates.
Unlike other traffic system that may offer a "free trial", after which you are
charged a monthly or annual subscription fee. The subscription activates
automatically after your connected Garmin GPS device acquires satellite signals
while receiving traffic signal from the service provider.
Note: Lifetime traffic extends for the useful life of
the Garmin traffic receiver (as long as you own the compatible Garmin GPS
device) or as long as Garmin receives traffic data from its traffic
supplier, whichever is shorter.
NAVTEQ Traffic-RDS: NAVTEQ Traffic is broadcast over the FM Radio Data
System (RDS) and provides real-time traffic conditions for more than 98
metropolitan markets in North America, including Canada. It provides a
comprehensive, reliable nation wide coverage;

Note: The GTM 35 and GPS device must be in in data range of an FM station
transmitting TMC data to receive traffic information. Traffic content not
available for all areas.
Traffic Avoidance: When connected to the GTM 35, your Garmin
nuvi portable navigator not only informs you about delays on your route, it will
also suggest alternate routes and guide you around the trouble spots. It can
even automatically route you around trouble spots without you having to do
anything, but drive. Key traffic information that is displayed, include -
- accurate traffic flow speeds
- unplanned incidents such as accidents and stalled vehicles
- planned incidents such as road construction and closures
- information about special and sports events and holidays that may affect
travel
12-Volt Power Adapter: In addition to free lifetime traffic
alerts, the GTM 35 features a 12-volt power adapter to connect to your vehicle's
12-volt power/cigarette lighter port which will power and charge your compatible
Garmin nuvi GPS portable navigator.
