I have no idea what most are complaining about as far as lack of bass with these units. it might be the lack of door shell space in the vehicles they are putting them in, as the reviews go. I installed into a 2001 Dodge Ram Quad Cab in the front doors, perfect swap, used the OE rain shields, NO BOXES behind them, but made sure the vapor barrier was intact and secure to the door when finished, (this creates your own enclosure for the speaker to bass flex). Clean, crisp, great sound from JBL, ran on a Kenwood receiver KDC 2028...no amp and they rock w/o a sub.

Great fit, JBL quality sound.

Great speakers for the price! Easy and quick to install. Big upgrade from factory rear speakers.

Good value for upgrading from factory speakers.

Pros:

Good sound. I replaced 13 year old factory speakers that weren't even working so I don't have much to compare them to.

Cons:

The mounting holes didn't line up exactly with the factory drilled holes in my 2000 Accord coupe, so I ended up using only three mounting holes because I frankly didn't feel like redrilling.

These speakers deliver great sound in my '99 Dodge Ram 3500 Quad cab. The highs are good, the Mids are great, and the lows are good. Sounds great with my infinity 5.5'' rear speakers, infinity tweeters, and Bazooka 10'' sub.

The JBL GT6-69 are a great sounding pair of 6x9 speakers. I bought these to improve the stock radio's performance in my '04 Honda Accord. Oh man, what a diffrence! The high's are crisp, the mid's are clear, and the bass is solid. The price is hard to beat too. The free installation guide and wiring harness adapters almost made installing these speakers too easy. Overall, my experience with Crutchfield has been great, and I look forward to doing business with them again soon.

None that I can think of.

The speakers fit well in my car and the sounds is crisp and clean. My only draw back for these speakers would be the lack of bass. The only way I was able to get more bass output was by setting my iPod's EQ to bass booster

Solid construction, great sound but had to drill out the holes to fit my 98 Accord EX. The sony's that I replaced fit without drilling out.

JBL has always been known for their good overall sound quality and these 6x9's dont disappoint. Clear and accurate mids and highs. Not as much bass as some other brands but still very balanced.

These were a perfect replacement for my rear stock speakers in my Honda Civic. I recently replaced an older model Kenwood Stereo with another Kenwood Model KDC-X596 and they sound great together.
