Extend your shooting time and increase the comfort and security of your grip with this convenient battery holder/grip for the Olympus OM-D E-M5 digital camera. Splashproof and dustproof, the HLD-6 separates into two parts, allowing it to be useful in both landscape and portrait orientations. The landscape unit includes a built-in shutter button as well as a dial for locking the grip onto the bottom of the E-M5. The portrait unit includes a grip that allows better control when holding the camera vertically, plus a shutter button, two programmable function buttons, and a power jack for continuous shooting (requires the optional AC-3 Power Adapter). It also houses a BLN-1 lithium-ion battery.

    Features

    Overview: The HLD-6 is a Power Battery Holder made to work with the Olympus OM-D E-M5 camera. It consists of two parts that can be used separately or together. The battery holder will accommodate a spare BLN-1 Lithium-Ion battery, which will double your shooting capacity. Like the E-M5 camera, the HLD-6 is dust- and splash proof.

    HLD-6P: The HLD-6P battery holder and vertical grip is designed to be used when shooting photographs or movies in the Portrait (vertical) orientation. It has a molded grip for stable shooting, a Main Dial, a built-in shutter button, two programmable Function buttons, and a DC-IN port for plugging in an optional AC Power Adapter (AC-3). The HLD-6P attaches to the bottom of the E-M5 camera, and is locked in place with a thumbscrew. An additional BLN-1 battery will fit into the cavity of the grip to give you longer shooting times. In the camera menu, you can choose which battery to use first; once it is drained, the camera will start using the second battery. It adds approximately 1-1/4" to the height and 4.5 ounces (6.3 ounces with battery) to the weight of the camera.

    HLD-6G: The HLD-6G grip fits onto the bottom of the camera, and is designed to be used when shooting in the Landscape (horizontal) orientation. The grip has a built-in shutter button, and a thumbscrew for locking it onto the camera. It can be used with or without the HLD-6P. It adds approximately 7/16" to the height and 3.6 ounces to the weight of the camera.

    This grip is really great! It makes it easy to hold the camera at any angle and the buttons are a great help.
