There is nothing negative I could say about this subwoofer box, I have a set of 12" Rockford fosgates T1's and it's perfect the way the bass hits in it it's incredible, I use to have them in a ground shaker box, but the bass wasn't as deep, then one of my boys got one of these on his system and I said what the heck I'm gonna try them, and man what a difference better sound quality and cheaper price than ground shaker. Keep up the good work Crutchfield.

Good Value Box

This is a good box and works exactly like it says it will. The only have 2 complaints about it though. First thing was that the box did not come with any screws for the subs. I am not sure it that is common, but the subs i bought did not come with any either. The other being that the speaker wire in the box is standard wire, and it is soldered on so it is a little trickier to switch. I would think that you would want something bigger gauge.

I bought this box because the specs fits the subs I had at the time and it did ok. But then i bought some new subs and they didn't perform very good (it was a little small but still within specs). My friend had the same sub but in a box that was 1.7cuft which isn't too much bigger and it sounded a lot better, and the other box was cheaper. Then I realized that the specs sealed was perfect for my subs, so I sealed this box and I am very impressed with it now. Sounds a lot better, even better than with my first subs. Maybe I just had subs that were terrible for the box, but this box shouldn't have a lot of difference in specs between other boxes when they're both designed to work fairly with all subs. First subs were Kenwood kfc-w3012, 2nd kfc-xw12. I know they aren't the best but they get the job done for now. 3 stars ported, 4 stars sealed.

Pros:

Love the internal braces. Hardly any port noise at all if any. Good build quality.

Cons:

Didn't perform as well as other boxes that were cheaper.

I purchased this bass bunker box to replace a sealed attrend box that I had my two alpine type r 12s in. The old box was causing one of my subs to bottom out on certain songs so I wanted a replacement and I figured why not ad a little output by getting a ported box? After doing some research I ended up at Crutchfield because they have affordable boxes that seemed to be well built and had the perfect cubic footage for my subs. I purchased this box and it arrived very fast! After installing it and a week or so of listening and tweaking it's definitely louder and very clean! I would definitely recommend this box to anyone who needs a sturdy, high-quality box at an affordable price.

Pros:

Perfect cubic footage after sub displacement. Ports tuned to a good even frequency range. Sturdy 5/8" mdf construction. Separate chambers so can be used with one sub and upgrade to two later.

Great enclosure delivers quality bass at lower and high volume, The material is pretty solid and is got excellent appearance, Only reason I'm not giving it 5 star's is cuz I herd better ones before But they were twice the price.

it works great, i have two low end pioneer 12's and they def sound better in this box than the two sealed boxes i had them in. the biggest differences i notice are sustained bass notes sound clearer and when there's two different frequency bass notes at the same time, it comes through better (idk the technical terms)...the free shipping was great, ordered it early Wednesday and it arrived Friday...overall i have no complaints...

I paired this box with 2 Alpine type R's at 1000 Watts rms at 1 ohm ,oh my! Best sounding box I've had very well constructed and no port noise to be heard. If you want to be heard coming buy this box! 5 stars all the way .

First of all, this box was cheap dollar wise as far as dual ported boxes go. Normally, for this price you will get a mediocre box at best, this box, however, is the exception. Recieved it in a week, installed it immediately into my 07 honda accord. Sounds great with the two Boss Audio Phantom series subs I have in it. All in all, a great buy.

Pros:

Well built, completely siliconed interior, carpeting was done very well and has nice clean look, price is cheap, fit perfect in the nook of my trunk against my back seat and had clearence to install the amp on top of the box.

Cons:

None that I know of.

First off i would like to say thanks to Crutchfield for being based in VA because all of the shipments come fast! Now about the box. This company right here knows how to make their boxes look great and sound great. I was a lil sketchy of buying this box until I read the reviews and boy were yall honest and right. This box is awesome! I put 2 Kicker CompVR 12" subs in there, wired them correctly, and have a 1500 watt amp pushing explosive power to them and boy do these things bang. Also, the box looks so great in the trunk of my 2000 Jeep Cherokee. Doesnt take up much space looks great with the Kicker CompVR cause of the color (which is black and gray and the box is black and the SO logo is gray) and also it matches perfect with my jeep cause its also gray. I am proud of this purchase, thanks Crutchfield!! and also thanks for putting Sound Ordnance on the map with all the other big companies! Go VA!!

Everything about this box is 100% 5 Star Quality. There is a certain review on this products page from someone that, if you couldn't already tell by the words, spelling, and measurments, must be a very young and/or very intelligence-challenged!!! These are high quality production spec. boxes which are most likely premade at a production facility and are not custom/made to order, which anyone can tell by looking at the product page. Also if for some reason you should happen to have subs that are soooooooo much different than every other sub on the market for the past 30 years, then you would most likely already know that a custom made enclosure would be required when you bought them because they would be so rare that they almost wouldn't even exsist! I would recommend this box to anyone looking for a high quality production made sub enclosure to mount any standard production made subs. In a word AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pros:

Everything about it! Fit, finish, construction, materials and operation, are all great. Also very reasonably priced.

Cons:

Non as of now, which is approx. 8 months.

Almost a nice box.

I'd like to start my review with my call to Crutchfield inquiring about this sub box. I asked if the box could be made to different specs because my subs are different than most. I was told no. I wanted to have one inch of mdf for the front and to have 11 1/14 inch holes cut to fit the RE Audio SEx12D4s I was getting for my nephew for Christmas. I was told it wouldn't happen. So the box is very close to the specs I needed so I ordered it. First the speaker cutouts are 11 inches, not 11 1/16 inch like they say. So I'm going to have to cut this box so the subs fit, wonderful. Second, that is some seriously cheap carpet, in spots I can see through it. I would think twice about getting a box built if it weren't so close to his birthday and Christmas. Please understand my rating, I used to build better quality boxes at home with carpet and glue.

Pros:

The box size is quite nice.

Cons:

The speaker holes are NOT cut to 11 1/16"!!! They're cut to 11"!
[Editor's Note: Thanks for your review. We asked our product research team to double-check the measurement of the speaker cutouts. They pulled another box out of stock and measured each opening at four points. All eight measurements were 11-1/16" or ever-so-slightly larger than that.]
