Velbon's CX-mini is great for family photographs or on-the-go shooting. Its three-section telescopic legs extend the tripod to almost two feet tall — ideal for table-top placement or capturing photos low to the ground. The joystick-style grip lets you tilt your camera up, down, or to the right, or smoothly pan your camera across a scene. Plus, the legs are made out of aluminum to ensure an incredibly stable, vibration-free platform for your camera.

This travel-friendly tripod neatly folds up to less than a foot long, and it's light enough to carry around for extended periods of time without straining your back or shoulder. The quick-release plate can be locked into the tripod socket of your camera and left in place. That way, you can quickly attach and detach your camera from the tripod when those unexpected photo opportunities come up.

    Overview: The Velbon CX-Mini is a compact tripod that can be used with point-and-shoot digital cameras, D-SLRs, and camcorders up to 9 pounds. It has a PH-446 3-way panhead and a QB-4LC quick release platform for easily attaching and detaching your camera or camcorder. It has a universal 1/4" mounting screw for attaching your camera. The CX-Mini weighs only 1.74 pounds, and comes with a zippered nylon carrying case.

    Center Column: The CX-Mini's center column can be manually lifted up for an additional 5" in height, if needed.

    Legs: The CX-Mini has lightweight, 3-section legs with quick-lever leg locks and rubber feet. The upper legs have a diameter of 20 mm (3/4"). The tripod features radial leg braces for maximum stability. When fully extended, the CX-Mini has a 25.2" footprint.
