Features
Overview: This
FM modulator/controller allows you to add a Kenwood Sirius Satellite Radio tuner
to your vehicle's existing radio in order to receive Sirius Satellite Radio
broadcasts. Alternatively, you can connect a Kenwood CD changer or Music Keg
digital media player to this unit. If using the Sirius SIR-KEN1, Kenwood KTC-SR901,
KTC-SR902, or KTC-SR903 Sirius
Satellite Radio tuner, you can use the pass-through input on the tuner to
connect the changer or Music Keg, and then switch between the two sources with
this FM modulator/controller.
12 Modulation
Frequencies: The output
can be modulated on one of 12 different frequencies. They range from 87.7 MHz to
89.9 MHz in 200kHz steps (87.7, 87.9, 88.1, 88.3, 88.5, 88.7, 88.9, 89.1, 89.3,
89.5, 89.7, and 89.9).
4 Step
Modulation Level: This
feature lets the user adjust the output level of the modulator to best match the
radio's input, which reduces distortion when playing CDs.
Dynamic
Control: This feature
automatically controls the level and separation of the FM modulator output to
better match the FM radio's input. This reduces noises and distortion when
playing CDs.
Text Scroll: This
display/controller allows you to scroll through various text information
automatically. However, this feature can be turned off to allow you to manually
scroll through text data.
Auxiliary Input Ready: You can
connect an auxiliary audio source to the FM modulator/controller when the
KCA-S220A, CA-C1AX, or a CD changer with an auxiliary input function installed
is used.
Line Outputs: The FM
modulator/controller provides a stereo RCA line output, allowing you to feed the
output to a receiver with an auxiliary audio input. This allows you to connect
the output of a Music Keg or Sirius tuner directly to a receiver's preamp
inputs.

Display/Controller
Sirius
Satellite Radio Control: When
a Sirius Satellite Radio tuner is connected, this unit will display various
types of text data including Sirius channel name and number, song title, artists
name, category name, and album title. This controller also provides the
following control features:
- Channel scan

Channel search (within a category)
- Station presets
(24 total presets--6 each on 4 bands)
- Preset seek tuning

Direct Access Tuning (with remote)
CD Changer
Control Features: In
addition to displaying disc and track title, disc and track number, track time,
MP3 file and folder number (requires a Kenwood CD/MP3 changer), and CD Text
information, the following control features are available when a Kenwood
compatible CD changer is connected:

Mounting
Options: The display/controller can be surface-mounted using the supplied
self-adhesive Velcro strips. For flush-mounting, a bracket made of black ABS
plastic is provided. The overall dimensions of the bracket are: W=7.4", H=2.28",
D=0.729". Cutout dimensions are: W=6.283", H=1.865", D=0.586".
