Enclosed Subwoofers 101

An enclosed subwoofer is a box with a subwoofer already installed. The advantage to buying an enclosed sub is that the manufacturer made the sub, then designed and built the box as a perfect match, so you'll get the best possible performance. Every enclosed sub has a maximum RMS power handling rating, so pair it with an amp with a similar RMS power rating to get the best performance.

    Big cabinet

Written By Rick, Upstate NY on Wednesday, May 15, 2013
    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Goddarn, got it out' the box and said "Whoa mama! This sucker's gonna eat up half the trunk!!" My fault for not measuring first. I'm sorry I didn't get to hear it because like the review below says the Blaupunkts are pretty efficient speaks; I put some in my factory locations and am very happy with them. Just measure your space and see if this mutha will fit!
    Pros:
    Excellent rated efficiency.
    Cons:
    Big enclosure

    Great Subwoofer

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This sub sounds amazing, I'm using a 400 watt amp to power it and it's not even turned all the way up. I would definitely buy another and recommend to all my friends.
    Pros:
    Sound quality is great!
    Cons:
The cabinet is a little bulky, definitely not for a truck. Works great in my hatchback though.
