Features
Overview: The Scosche BlueFusion Bluetooth Interface (BFGMK) is a
Bluetooth car kit for select GM LAN vehicles. The BFGMK Bluetooth Interface
allows you to wirelessly communicate with your Bluetooth enabled cellular phone
and digital audio player from your GM LAN factory radio, without losing any of
the factory radio's features. The BFGMK communicates
directly with your factory radio allowing you direct control of hands-free,
voice-dialing, and A2DP functionality. This interface maintains the original
integrity of important diagnostic and safety systems within your vehicle.
Vehicle Compatibility: The Scosche BlueFusion Bluetooth Interface
(BFGMK) is designed specifically for select 2006-up GM LAN vehicles with a
factory navigation or non-navigation radio (with or without factory XM tuner).

Note: The Scosche BlueFusion Bluetooth Interface (BFGMK)
comes with two harnesses. One harness (BFGMLANXMB) is for vehicles
with an XM Satellite Radio tuner and the other harness (BFGMHB) is
for vehicles without an XM Satellite Radio tuner. Some vehicles
feature a rear XM Satellite Radio tuner and require an optional
extension cable (142BFEXTB, sold separately).
Bluetooth Compatibility: The Scosche BlueFusion Bluetooth Interface
(BFGMK) supports Bluetooth hands-free communication and A2DP streaming from your
Bluetooth enabled cellular phone and portable digital music player.
Note: Scosche does not guarantee 100% compatibility with all
Bluetooth enabled device. Some cellular phone manufactures utilize a
Bluetooth microprocessor that is not compatible with the BlueFusion system.
Some phones from Palm, LG (Envy/Envy2), Samsung (Impression), and HTC (Omni)
have exhibited operating difficulties with the BlueFusion system.
Pairing: Your Bluetooth enabled cellular phone must be paired with the
Scosche BlueFusion Bluetooth Interface. Once the initial pairing process has
been complete, your phone will easily connect and disconnect to the BFGMK
Bluetooth Interface.
Note: The BlueFusion BFGMK will pair to only one phone at a time.
Auto Connect/Disconnect: When your vehicle is started, the BlueFusion
BFGMK will automatically connect to the Bluetooth enabled device which it was
last paired. If you are on an active call or listening to streaming audio and
the vehicle is turned off, the BlueFusion BFGMK will automatically transfer the
call to the handset or your audio back to the player.
Source Select: The BlueFusion system functions as an XM source through
your vehicle's factory radio. In order to access BlueFusion, the XM band must be
selected. If listening to a source other than XM, BlueFusion will automatically
switch to the XM band when there is an incoming call.
Note: When the call is ended
your factory radio may not automatically switch back to the previous source unless the
previous source was XM. You may need to manually switch back to your previous
source.
Hands-Free Communication: The Scosche BlueFusion Bluetooth Interface
(BFGMK) seamlessly integrates your Bluetooth enabled cell-phone into your
vehicle's factory audio system. You will hear a ring-tone through your vehicle's
speaker and Caller ID will display on your factory radio's screen. The Scosche
BFGMK will automatically mute your music on any source as a call comes in.
Simply press the answer/hang up button on the factory radio or steering wheel to
answer or end the call. The included high-fidelity microphone and your vehicle's
factory speakers allow you to carry on your phone conversation.
External Microphone: The Scosche BlueFusion Bluetooth Interface
(BFGMK) includes an external microphone with DSP echo cancellation to ensure a
crystal clear conversation. The included microphone can mounted to your
vehicle's visor, headliner, or dash. The microphone should be aimed towards the
driver's seat. The microphone measures 0.5625" in diameter x 1.125" in depth.
Making A Call: The Scosche BlueFusion Bluetooth Interface (BFGMK)
offers various hands-free calling methods.
- Voice Dial: The BlueFusion Bluetooth Interface supports voice
dialing with compatible Bluetooth cellular phones.
- Call Log: You can make a call using the BlueFusion system's
incoming, outgoing, or missed call logs from your vehicle's factory radio or
steering wheel controls.
- Handset: When making an outgoing call directly from your
cell-phone, the factory radio will automatically switch to the BlueFusion
source and send hands-free audio through the factory speakers.
Note: The Scosche BlueFusion Bluetooth Interface (BFGMK) does not
support numeric dialing from the factory radio or steering wheel controls. It
also does not support the Bluetooth Phonebook profile.
Call Waiting: The
Scosche BFGMK supports the Call Waiting function, so you can answer another
incoming call while suspending the current call you are on. Your compatible
cell-phone must also support this feature.
Conference Call: The Scosche BFGMK also lets you receive two calls at
once so you can talk to two people at once. Your cell-phone must also support
this feature.
Privacy Mode: You can use your factory radio or steering wheel
controls to send the conversation back to your cell-phone for more privacy.
Audio Streaming: The Scosche BlueFusion Bluetooth Interface (BFGMK)
supports steaming music with most Bluetooth A2DP enabled cell-phones and digital
audio players. You will be able to control basic playback functions such
as Play, Pause, Next Track, or Previous Track from your vehicle's factory radio
or steering wheel controls.
Note: There must first be a phone paired to the BlueFusion BFGMK
before pairing a secondary Bluetooth enabled A2DP device. While streaming
Bluetooth audio, redial and voice dial functions are disabled.
Volume Level: You can adjust the volume level for Bluetooth audio and
Bluetooth hands-free communication independently from your vehicle's stereo
system to match the volume levels of other audio sources.
