Features
Overview: Cobra iRadar combines industry leading radar/laser detection
technology with the power of the Apple iPhone/iPod touch. The Cobra iRadar (iRAD
100) is a radar/laser/camera detector which uses Bluetooth wireless technology
to connect to your iPhone/iPod touch (via a free downloadable Apple Cobra iRadar
App) to display radar alerts, control settings, log alert history, and be warned
of upcoming speed & red-light cameras.
iPod/iPhone Compatibility: The Cobra iRadar (iRAD 100) is compatible
with the iPhone (3G/3GS/4) & iPod touch (2nd/3rd/4th gen). Requires iOS 3.1.3 or
later.
Note: Location-based alerts and GPS settings available only with
iPhone. Only radar/laser alerts and settings will work with iPod touch.
Cobra iRadar App: You will need to download the free Cobra iRadar App
from iTunes onto your compatible iPhone or iPod touch for the iRadar (iRAD 100)
to function with your Apple iPhone or iPod touch. The free Cobra iRadar App
provides the following features for your iPhone/iPod touch.
- Alerts to speed & red-light cameras, known speed traps, and dangerous
intersections.
- Displays visual alerts from the detector on the iPhone/iPod touch.
- View alert history on the radar map view.
- Control radar detector settings from your iPhone/iPod touch.
Note: Functionalities of this App are only available when linked
to the Cobra iRadar Detector unit.
Pairing: Once the Cobra iRadar App is downloaded to your iPhone/iPod
touch, the iRadar (iRAD 100) will appear under "Devices". Your iPhone or iPod
touch then must be paired to the iRadar (iRAD 100). It may take 30-60 seconds
for pairing to complete. The detector's LED will flash blue during pairing. When
pairing has completed, the LED will turn solid blue.
360-Degree Detection The Cobra iRadar Detector Unit (iRAD 100)
provides 360-degrees of detection for all radar & laser guns.
City/Highway Modes: The Cobra iRadar Detector unit (iRAD 100) utilizes
City & Highway modes to reduce false alerts.
Dual Alert Screen: Your Bluetooth connected iPhone or iPod touch lets
you view detection & alert information at the same time.
Dashboard: The Dashboard feature displays speedometer, compass, and
car battery voltage on your iPhone/iPod touch's LCD screen.
View Map: You are able to view user-marked locations, red-light camera
locations in your area, and GPS-based speed & direction of travel on your iPhone
only.
Mounting Options: The Cobra iRadar Detector unit (iRAD 100) comes
supplied with a suction-cup mount which allows you to attach the unit to your
windshield. The unit also includes a velcro-strip if you prefer to attach it to
your dash.
12-Volt Cigarette Lighter Adapter: The Cobra iRadar Detector unit
(iRAD 100) includes a 12-volt cigarette lighter adapter to supply power to the
unit. The cigarette lighter adapter also feature a USB port which allows you to
connect your iPhone/iPod touch to keep it charged (requires USB/dock-cable that
comes with your iPhone/iPod touch).
