The popular Alpine KTP-445U Power Pack is a universal amplifier that connects directly to almost any factory and aftermarket stereo. This tiny amplifier pumps up your system power to 45 watts per channel, and it's easier to install than normal external amps. All the wiring is done at the stereo—you don't have to run big cables to your battery or make long wire runs through the car. However, you might need extra RCA cables; the ones that come with the Power pack are pretty short.

I'm Robert, and I wanted to tell you about the Alpine KTP-445U add-on amplifier. This is a great little amplifier that packs 45 watts per channel on four channels into a tiny little box that's designed to mount inside the dash behind your stereo. It'll work with almost any factory or aftermarket stereo and can be connected via RCA or speaker level connections.
All the wiring is done right behind your stereo. You don't have to run separate power cables or ground cables like other amplifiers. Instead, you just piggyback on the stereo's circuit for power, ground, and then the speaker wires connect right into your vehicle wiring harness.
The great thing about this amplifier is that it installs inside your dash out of the way right with the radio. But that's also a downside, because since that's what Alpine intends, the RCA cables included with the amplifier are only 13 inches long and if you need to move it to the side or, as we had to do in a recent installation, mount it down in the glove box or under a seat, those cables aren't going to be long enough. So we always recommend purchasing a couple pairs of RCA cables that are gonna be long enough to mount the amp wherever you need it mounted.
