Features

Overview: The HDR 180 is an additional (or replacement) headset for the Sennheiser RS 180 wireless headphone system (item number 143RS180, sold separately).

Kleer Wireless Transmission Technology: The RS 180 headphone system features the digital wireless audio transmission technology from Kleer. Kleer technology transmits uncompressed audio up to 320 feet over a 2.4 GHz digital link (2.4-2.8GHz), enabling you to enjoy your music without the hassle of cables. Kleer's uncompressed digital wireless transmission delivers CD-quality sound.

Note: Kleer technology will not interfere with wireless networks or other 2.4 GHz devices.

Batteries: Power for the headset is provided by two rechargeable "AAA" batteries (included) that fit into compartments in the headset. The batteries are recharged using the charger included with the RS 180 system. Fully charged batteries have an operating time of approximately 24 hours and require approximately 16 hours to recharge.

Auto Power Off: If there is no signal from the transmitter for more than 5 minutes, the headphones automatically switch to standby mode.

Balance: adjust left/right balance; on the right earcup
Multi-Function: power on/off, mute, multi-user operation; on the right earcup

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The Headset is everything we were looking for. Unfortunately the engineers decided Multi Function switches are also good for people who can' hear well. Why add the frustration of wondering if the correct function is selected for the cost of another switch? Some times people who can't hear well are also quite old and don't need another source of irritation?

Pros:

Very good quality in the sound.

Definitely read the instructions. These require the owner to use the batteries sent - high capacity. Once both headsets have the proper battery load up, the magic begins. Great set. The bass, and especially the higher frequencies glisten with the sets. Far better than most TV speakers these days.

Pros:

Late night listening now a breeze, and with great sound to match.

Cons:

Remember to buy high capacity rechargeables. A few dollars more, but the local dirt cheap AAA batts just aren't enough push on the speakers. Causes unnecessary drop outs. Sennheiser ships a quality battery with the unit. Just don't swap out with local dept store cheapies.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This is my third set. First set had distortion problems after a month. Second set had same problems after 24 months and three weeks (after warrenty).I ordered a new set HDR180's head set only. The out of warrenty set was sent out to Sennheiser for repair at my cost and they sent me a complete new set (everything) at a repair cost. What great customer service. Great company. I now have two complete sets of the RS 180's. Great. I live in a apartment complex and watch alot of tv and blue ray movies and listen to alot of music so I'm very satified.

Pros:

Great sound.

Cons:

Little worried about the distortion problem may come back.

After the burn in period these headphones deliver a great range of highs and lows with the convenience of wireless. Very simple to use, my wife and I find them very useful for watching tv, movies and especially listening to music. The ability to recharge the batteries on the dock is very nice as well and they are very comfortable to wear.
