Features
UV and Water Resistant:
The Sony XS-L100P5M is a marine rated 10", 6-ohm subwoofer
that can handle up to 200 Watts RMS. The Sony woofer meets the following marine
certifications.

under ASTM B117
Woofer Design: The marine
woofer is a 10-inch, five-sided polypropylene cone with a rubber surround that
provides loud and deep bass response.
Connections: The woofer's uses
coated tinsel leads and gold-plated speaker terminals to guard against
corrosion. The woofer also comes supplied with gold-plated female slide
terminals with clear rubber housings to attach to your speaker wires when
connecting them to the woofer.
Grille: The woofer comes with a
removable UV-resistant plastic white grille to protect the woofer from punctures
and other damages. The grille is secured to the woofer with 4 bottom mount
screws before mounting the woofer.
Mounting: The woofer mounts
into place with 8 supplied 1.5" screws. The subwoofer also comes supplied with 8
white plastic caps to fit over the heads of the screws to prevent corrosion. It
is recommended that the surface be at 3/4" thick that you are attaching the
subwoofer to. The woofer comes with a self-adhesive foam strip to act as a
gasket between the woofer and the opening.
Free-Air Subwoofer Design: The
woofer is designed for mounting in an infinite baffle (free-air) application, so
no enclosure is necessary.
Subwoofer Mounting: The
measurements in the Crutchfield database are taken without the grille. With the
grille installed, the mounting height increases to 1.375" and the frame diameter
increases to 11.238".
