These harnesses will allow you to plug your new speakers into the factory connectors present in the speaker openings for your vehicle.

Note: Some aftermarket speakers have terminals that are wider than this harness's slide-on connectors. You may need to widen the harness's female slide-on connectors, or use the slide terminals that may be included with the speakers. If you need to connect your new speaker's connectors to the Crutchfield harness, soldering is best, and crimping is also very popular — see "Accessories."

Includes Crutchfield's 60-Day Total Satisfaction Guarantee

Note: Most vehicles will require additional installation parts — please identify your vehicle if you haven’t done so, then check here for a list of parts. You can also call an Advisor for more information.

Features

Crutchfield Speaker Harness: Crutchfield speaker harnesses prevent you from having to cut your vehicle's factory speaker plugs when replacing your factory speakers with aftermarket car speakers. The Crutchfield speaker harness features two female quick-slide connectors on one end to attach directly to your new aftermarket car speakers & a proprietary Molex connector on the other end that connects to your vehicle's factory speaker plug.

Quick-Slide Connectors: The Crutchfield speaker harness is equipped with a large (positive) & small (negative) female quick-slide terminal. These quick-slide terminals fit directly onto most aftermarket car stereo speaker terminals (slight crimping may be required). In rare cases that the quick-slide terminals do not fit your car speaker terminals, you will need to solder the Crutchfield speaker harness to your aftermarket speaker's terminals or replace the quick-slide connectors on the Crutchfield speaker harness with the correct size terminal.

Note: Installation tools, hardware, & accessories are not included & sold separately. Please see the Accessories tab for recommendations & availability.

Quick-Slide Terminal Measurements: The positive female quick-slide terminal measures 0.205" (inner width), while the negative female quick-slide terminal measures 0.115" (inner width).

Wire Code Chart: Two identical Crutchfield speaker harnesses are included.

Wiring harness

Written By Hatch, Pacific Northwest on Friday, April 12, 2013
Installed in a 2008 Ford F-250 Super Duty
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The negative pins/lead wire (black wire) fall out of the plastic housing; I surmise a manufacturing defect or cheap labor from a third world party, either way they are sub-par (all 4) I soldered my terminals instead and tossed the "free" junk. I'd rather pay for an item that worked as designed then get the "freebie" that ends up as a non functioning component. Please keep the junk in your warehouse.

Perfect with a hitch for me

Written By T. Michael A., Ocala,FL on Thursday, January 24, 2013
Installed in a 2003 Ford Ranger
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I purchased the Infinity speakers with a separate crossover included, for my Ford Ranger ,so I had to cut the ends off of each harness in order to get bare wire to attach to the crossovers, but the door connections were perfect and fit easily via just clicking in place. Just had to make sure black was negative and white was positive and Thanks to Crutchfield it was still easy to do. They are the best at customer service!!
Pros:
Perfect fit. They only go on one way,so you can't get it wrong.
Cons:
None..my problem was my own to deal with.

R&R special

Written By Lloyd C., Southern California on Sunday, November 18, 2012
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

These are the main reason for buying from Crutchfield. Little things like these free harnesses. Vehicle specific instructions and the ease of dealing with them over the phone. One tip when using these though. The added length could cause the whole harness to fall into the window tracks of some doors. I recommend zip tying them up to the speaker frame, aiding in keeping them up close and out of the way.
Pros:
Fast easy and simple...

2010 Ford F150

Written By Andrew, Great Falls, Montana on Friday, November 09, 2012
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Used on front door speakers. Harness is 99% necessary. Connections for power windows, locks and speakers are made with a harness connector inside the rubber boot. The door does not have solid wires passing through the door jam where the door pivots on hinges. You have to drill through the door jam to run speaker wires from an amplifier to your door speakers. This is why i decided to use the speaker harness. The harness and factory wires appear to be 18AWG or smaller. Using a high powered amp is not recommended with this set up. Drill to run 14 or 12AWG WIRE. Other than that, its a clean installation. No soldering needed
Pros:
Makes installation quick, clean, fast.
Cons:
Wire gauge is on the small side.
