Video: Audyssey South of Market Media Dock
Kramer, a Crutchfield advisor, tried out the Audyssey South of Market Audio Dock. He enjoyed streaming music from his iPhone® wirelessly using Bluetooth®, taking and making calls through the dock, and found that the audio dock really filled his office with sound.
Audyssey South of Market Media Dock
Kramer: I had the opportunity recently to spend a few weeks with the new Audyssey audio dock and it was a blast. It's one of the few docks that I felt like I wanted to actually buy once I was done using it.
Play music wirelessly with Bluetooth
From the audio perspective it was awesomeclear sound, rich bass. It could fill up my office with no problem, even at moderate volume levels. I could play all the music from my iPod, things like Pandora. Because my phone is paired through the Bluetooth of the Audyssey dock, when I pick it up and go check my email, Pandora will still play through the speaker system so I don't have to stop playing music just because I want to do other things with my smartphone. If you want to sit across the room on your couch with your iPhone in your hand, you can play whatever you want through the speaker dock wirelessly and very seamless in terms of transitioning.
Hands-free calling through built-in mic
Perhaps the coolest part about this was the ability to both make and receive phone calls through the actual iPod dock. There are hundreds of docks out there, but very few can actually give you a hands-free calling experience through the built-in microphone and through the built-in speakers. There's also an input on the back where you can add your own microphone if you want to as well.
I can also plug it into my computer through the USB and play through iTunes, which was a really cool feature that sets this apart from a lot of other docks.
If you have any questions about this dock or anything else, feel free to give us a call. We're happy to help.
