Was looking for anything other than Kicker....not really a big fan, BUT the price was right and so I gambled. Replaced four of my original OEM 1999 Ford Explorer Speakers. Pleasantly surprised at how well they really sound. I still have a stock stereo, so I would imagine they would be even a bigger improvement with a better in-dash driving them.

Pros:

Easy install, great instructions from Crutchfield!

Cons:

I think they do lack in the Mid-bass department. BUT it could be my stock stereounder powering them also. So thats why a drop to four stars.

Decent entry level speaker

I ordered 2 pairs of these as a direct replacement for the factory speakers in my 2000 F150. Overall they are an improvement over factory but I was hoping for more. I'm powering them with a Sound Ordnance M4075 at about half gain. They are lacking in the midbass department and get a little harsh at higher volumes. Overall they are better than factory at a decent price.

Pros:

Good highs and lows. Almost sounds and feels like I have a sub in the back again. Not quite, but close enough for the price.

I have a 2010 Ford F-150 Crew Cab and I replaced all four speakers with the Kicker DS68 speakers. The fit was perfect. They sound great (compared to the stock speakers)! The adapters and documents provided by Crutchfield made the install a snap. I did find a guy on youtube that made a video on how to upgrade the speakers in my truck. That really helped. So in the end I spent $100 and 2hrs of my time and I couldn't be happier with the outcome.

Pros:

They sound sooooo much better than my factory speakers. Replaced all 4 for less than $100! Perfect fit.

Cons:

Well - they didn't install themself and they don't sound like a $2,000 stereo system - FYI - that was sarcasm...

I would buy them agian just be forwarned these are not plug and play.

Pros:

These sound much better than stock, well worth the cost.

Cons:

Although I got the little green check telling me they would fit my vehicle, wrong!!! My vehicle is a 2001 Tacoma single cab. I ended up having to modify the factory door mount.

great speakers. bigger magnet than stock. great sound. easy to connect with wire harness. great customer service. only thing ito BEWARE is on my 2002 ranger they didnt fit right onto the grills behind the seat and needed slightly longer screws. but they still get 5 stars ***** and i will difinately buy from here again!!

These speakers sounds great. I upgraded from stock speakers in my ford ranger. at first i think the bass was less then satisfactory but after a couple weeks of breakin in they sound awsome. i am very happy and would deff recommend them to someone looking for a quick easy sound upgrade. also i was very impressed with crutchfields service. i was always skepitcal thinking they were over priced but buying from them was alot cheaper in the end since they make it easy to install yourself. provinding you with plugs specifically for your vehicle. all you got to do is plug them in and mount them and you are done. great highs and mids and also great bass for a 6x8

After purchasing a Pioneer Head Unit last year everything sounded so good. Then, I noticed the driver's door speaker kept cutting off. I figured it was a loose wire and would hit the panel door it would work. I really got tired of hitting it more frequently. Decided to purchase the speakers and after popping the door panel the speaker was corroded! The thing I noticed the new speakers were heavier than the factory ones. I used the wire harness that Crutchfield provided with the installation package, perfect. It is a wonderful full sound and just love it................

Awsome upgrade over stock... running 4 off an old school pioneer 2700. Sounds
good.... decent bass... great mids... smooth highs... will be updating HU soon
and adding subs... the 6x8's would benefit from more power.... and of course
install was a snap with the provided harness....... as always Crutchfield is awsome!

Wow! Ten times better than factory, never thought mids could make such a
difference. The half price deal, makes it even better. I'll being going after a kicker
sub and amp combo next to round out my setup.

For the price you will be shocked at the sound quality!

I purchased these for my 2009 F-150.
They sound Better than stock, But not for people
who like to crank the volume. I would Suggest a pair of speakers rated at least
60W Rms...

2008 Ford Escape XLT

I just installed 4 of these. For the record I have the non-navi stereo w/o subwoofer, but
I doubt Ford installed better speakers for those better setups. Don't quote me on that
though.
Anyway...yeah these speakers are about a 75-100% inprovement over stock. Stock
looked well made. Decent magnet size and '25W' printed on the back, but were most
assuredly paper. Permanent grille on the front (yes on the actual speaker itself) made
it hard to see easily though.
The muddy bass is gone and I can hear the highs finally. Two grilles were NOT
helping the OEMs lemme tell ya! Of course the bass isn't awesome, but pretty good
considering stock radio is powering it and they're only 6x8's. A sub needed to round it
out 100%, but for $104 total for these (buy 1 get one 50% off) these rock.
P.S. Escape doors CAKE to dismantle esp. w/ supplied instructions. Only tricky tool
needed is a Torx T30 bit, but I have a whole set.
Go for it!
