Features
IMPP Cone: The Pioneer TS-W304R features an IMPP (Injection
Molded Polypropylene) woofer cone. This process of cone molding assures a uniform
cone thickness for superior linearity and clarity.
Voice Coil: The woofer's 6-layer, long voice coil design allows
expanded piston motion for better linearity, improved power handling, and more bass
impact.
Extended Pole Yoke: The extended pole yoke expands the magnetic
field, improving linearity during large woofer excursions.
Vented Pole Yoke: The vented pole yoke allows air circulation
within the motor structure to ensure better heat dissipation, thus improving the
power handling capacity.
Terminals: The heavy duty spring compression terminals will
accept pin connectors, single banana plugs, and bare wire up to 10 gauge.
Specifications
Enclosure Compatibility: The Pioneer TS-W304R offers great
performance using either a sealed, ported, or bandpass enclosure.
Sealed Box Volume: The sealed box sizes recommended by Pioneer
range from 0.85 cu/ft to 1.75 cu/ft. Within this range, the ideal recommended size
is 1.25 cu/ft.
Vented Box Volume: The vented box sizes recommended by Pioneer
range from 1.25 cu/ft to 2.0 cu/ft. Within this range, the ideal recommended size
is 1.5 cu/ft. The recommended port diameter is 3" and the length varies with
enclosure size; 7" long with the 1.5 cu/ft enclosure, 8" long with the
1.25 cu/ft enclosure, and 5.5" long with the 2.0 cu/ft enclosure.
Bandpass Volume: The bandpass box sizes recommended by Pioneer
range from 0.7 cu/ft to 1.1 cu/ft (per chamber). The ideal enclosure has a 0.9 cu/ft
sealed rear chamber and a 0.9 cu/ft ported front chamber. The minimum recommended
size has a 0.7 cu/ft sealed rear chamber and a 0.7 cu/ft ported front chamber. The
maximum recommended size has a 1.1 cu/ft sealed rear chamber and a 1.1 cu/ft ported
front chamber. The recommended port diameter is 3" and the length varies with
enclosure size; 4" long with the 1.8 cu/ft enclosure, 4.5" long with the
1.4 cu/ft enclosure, and 3.5" long with the 2.2 cu/ft enclosure.
