The crimps were awful they broke when you went to crimp them and the cap portion came right off - ended up buying the ones at a different retailer - they are so much more substantial.

Luckily I had some better caps that I purchased locally awhile back. The caps are small which tend to fall off after crimping them together. The zip ties came were a bonus for me to use when organizing the cables.

Pros:

Zip ties come in handy

Cons:

caps very tiny, your better off spending another $1 - $4 to get better caps

Nice collection of useful connectors. More than I needed for the install but will use the leftovers for other projects. Plus the kit was free with purchase of head unit. Unbeatable deal.

Complete Garbage

I thought that people were over exaggerating when other reviewers said that the caps break easily. Wow did they, right after i found out that this true and the first cap broke I had to run over to the Auto Parts store and grab a $3 set of 22-18 Gauge Butt Connectors. Hey at least i got a couple of zip ties for a dollar. Why even bother with these?

This kit is a good value since it would cost much more for the same wire connectors elsewhere. Only complaint is it is missing some connectors that are needed for most car stereo installs like the quick connectors to the power antennae and amp remote. I had to cut off the ends and make some permanent connections using what was in the kit.

Pros:

Great value, fast, easy and dependable speaker wire connections.

Cons:

Missing some connectors that could be useful for most car stereo installations.

Caps were no good, other connectors were fine. Overall not enough connectors in the kit for my install, needed 13 or so, only 7-9 (can't quite remember) were in the kit. Good thing they were cheap!

Cons:

zip ties curve the wrong way crimp cap plastic came off when crimped Advisor told me "Everything you need for install is included". That wsn't the case.

I bought these because I needed to order one cent more in order to qualify for a $20 off coupon that I had. The butt connectors worked fine but the crimp caps not so much. The butt connectors and the ties were worth the money I paid for the set.

The little plastic heads of the crimp caps don't stay on after you crimp your wires...they just slide off - which defeats the purpose. I had to tape them all anyway. But I guess you get what you pay for!

Great product!! Good price and way more reliable then the stuff the local big box tries selling you. The connectors were sturdy and strong and gave me confidence my wiring would stay together as long as I need it to.

Why did Crutchfield stop carrying the other bag of crimps?!?!

These are really tiny and the metal comes out of the plastic very easily. The zip ties are okay but half of them are packaged so that they naturally curve the wrong direction.

I bought 15 units of these (normally 3 bags of the old ones) and after the first one I might just toss them and call it a loss. They simply do not crimp OR hold well.

I got these during a price break and only paid like $1 for them. They work alright,
but something like 4 of the caps broke on me while I was trying to crimp them. The
metal sleeve inside the plastic slid out making them unusable.

All in all the rest of the caps worked fine and I installed my stereo without fail.
Totally worth the dollar.
