So far these are good and do the job. Installed in an early Tacoma with no power locks. Both my boxes came with no instructions. Got them in PDF from Crutchfield. Instructions still somewhat vague. There is a small block that set screws to the slip in actuating rod on the motor. You then slip this block over the lock rod inside the door and tighten down. Very limited room in my install to get the screws tight. Ended up having to use a phillips bit and a 1/4 wrench to tighten them down. Then drilled two holes in the door inner skin and screwed the motor through the skin into the two tube looking pieces made onto the motor. Seems to hold tight, but as I said, instructions could be MUCH better. Biggest issue I had with them is that I did not know that I'd need to buy 4 relays as well to get them to operate with the CA1151 alarm I bought. You need two each side (lock, unlock). This can run your cost to do the job up quite a bit as it pays to get good quality relays. Don't buy cheap ones, get good ones. Then also the issue of finding room for two relays per side. Download instruction sheet has an easy diagram to follow on wiring them. The actuators are inexpensive (actually got free with a package deal Code alarm was putting on through this site) and only have a 30 day guarantee so I hope they hold up. I can say it is REALLY NICE to be able to hit the lock and unlock button on the alarm to open the doors.
