Features
Woofer:
The cone uses a parabolic injection
molded polypropylene design. Polypropylene is lightweight
and strong, giving the woofer high power handling and low distortion.
High
Excursion Large Roll Surround:
A large edge roll surround allows Punch woofers to produce 20% more linear
excursion than standard surrounds, resulting in more bass output.
Anodized Aluminum Voice Coil
Former: Aluminum voice coil formers offer superior heat dissipation over
other commonly used materials. The hard-anodized finish on this 2" former increases
its strength. These two factors combine to improve the overall power handling characteristics
of the subwoofer.
Precision Stamped CRS Basket:
Reinforced cold roll steel basket legs dampen unwanted resonance for better bass
coupling.
Double Stacked Magnet Motor
Assembly: The stacked magnet
assembly is used to create a powerful linear motor with increased excursion
capability for superior bass output.
Removable Magnet Cover: The
cosmetic magnet cover can be removed when additional mounting clearance is
required. With the magnet cover installed, the woofer has the following
dimensions:
- Magnet Diameter:

- Depth as top: 5.643"
Spring Posts:
The heavy-duty spring posts will accept pin connectors and bare wire up to 10
gauge.
Concealing Ring: Once the
subwoofer is mounted, the concealing ring can be installed to hide the mounting
screws, giving the subwoofer a finished look. With the ring in place the
mounting height increases to 0.844".

Sealed Box
Volume: The sealed box sizes recommended by Rockford
Fosgate range from 0.5 cu/ft to 1.0 cu/ft. The ideal size recommended is 0.65 cu/ft.
Recommended Vented Box
Volume: The vented box sizes recommended by Rockford Fosgate range from
1.0 cu/ft to 1.5 cu/ft. The ideal size recommended is 1.25 cu/ft with one 3" diameter x
7.3" long port. A 1.0 cu/ft box requires a 3" diameter x 9.6" long port; a
1.5 cu/ft
box requires a 3" diameter x 5.7" long port.
