Features
Design: Each speaker stand
contains a solid tri-corner black metal base, a slender (1" diameter)
telescoping pillar with a black finish, and a choice of four
different speaker mounting top plates. The mounting height is adjustable from
28" to 42" to accommodate virtually any satellite/surround speaker,
including back-bolt and bottom-bolt types. There are adjustable floor spikes to
provide stable footing on carpeted areas, as well as custom screw-in rubber feet
to provide stability and minimal resonance on any floor surface. Each speaker
stand can support speakers up to 10 pounds each.
Benefits: The job of the
speaker stand is to raise the loudspeaker to ear height. When this is done
correctly, most aspects of the listening experience benefit. Bass is tighter,
mids and highs are clearer and imaging detail improves.
Adjustable Spiked Feet: Three
spiked feet and locking nuts are provided for each speaker stand. The spiked
feet pierce the carpeting and anchor the stand to the floor, keeping the speaker
stable and reducing resonance. With the spiked feet installed, the stand height
increases an additional 0.9" to 1.3". Note: The spiked feet can
scratch floor surfaces. If you do not wish to use the spiked feet, Sanus has
included rubber feet for use on scratch-sensitive flooring.
Speaker Mounting Methods: Two different speaker mounting top plates
and two different brackets are furnished to accommodate most satellite/surround
speaker styles. The 5" x 5" top plates and the 2-1/2"
x 3-1/4" top plates can be used for bottom bolt mounting or tape mounting; double sided tape pads are provided. The "L" brackets
can be used for small speakers that have a threaded insert centered on the back. A plastic
spacer (provided) allows the speaker to stand approximately 1/2" away from
the brackets. The "EFKQ" brackets are provided to specifically support Klipsch Quintet speakers (not sold by Crutchfield). The optional "EFB"
bracket (item 051EFB) can be used with these stands to support twin bolt mount
speakers, such as Polk's 7200 and 7600 system satellites. The optional "FMR100x"
speaker mounting
brackets are available directly from Sanus to support Boston Acoustics MR100x
speakers.
Hardware: For speakers with
threaded mounting inserts, three different speaker bolts are provided:
- 5/8" Pan-head 1/4-20 bolt
- 1" Pan-head 10-32 bolt
- 7/8" Socket-head bolt
(requires 3/16" Allen wrench--not provided)
Note: All supplied mounting hardware may not apply to your
particular speaker.
Speaker Wire Management:
Wires can be concealed by routing them through an opening near the bottom of the
pillar and up through the tube. There is a wire exit hole near the top of each
inner extension tube and in each top mounting plate.
