Inputs and Outputs Notes
SpineDesign and Waterfall Design:
The TVs inputs and outputs are mounted on the side of a "spine" that runs
vertically along the back of the TV. The side-facing connectors allow for easy
access. The connecting cables cascade like a "waterfall", making it easy to keep
your cables organized.
Inputs: This TV has a total of
four A/V
inputs:
- HDMI: The HDMI input can
be used to connect a DVD player, Game console, HDTV or Satellite Set-top box
with an HDMI output. The HDMI input can also be used to connect a device with a DVI
output (a DVI-to-HDMI adapter cable is necessary). If a DVI-equipped device
is used, separate audio cables will also be needed from the device to the
provided RCA stereo audio jacks. No audio cables are needed for an HDMI-equipped
device. The HDMI jacks
will accept 1080i, 720p, 480p, and 480i signals.
- Component Video: The two
component video inputs can be used to connect a DVD
player, Game Console, HDTV or Satellite Set-top box with a component video
output. Separate RCA stereo audio inputs are provided. The
Component Video jacks
will accept 1080i, 720p, 480p, and 480i signals.
- Video/S-Video: One A/V
device can be connected to the TV using either a composite or S-Video cable.
You cannot use both composite and S-Video at the same time. Separate RCA
stereo audio inputs are provided.
PC: This input
consists of a stereo mini-jack and an analog RGB (D-Sub 15-pin) jack. This jack
allows you to connect a personal computer with a D-Sub 15-pin output. When using
the RGB (D-Sub 15-pin) jack, you must use the 3.5mm minijack input for your audio
connection.
Antenna Inputs:
The TV has one RF input (threaded "F" connector) for an over-the-air
antenna or a cable TV connection.
Audio Outputs: Two
audio outputs are provided for connecting the TV to a receiver or amplifier: one
pair of analog RCA jacks, and one
optical digital output.
