    Overview: The Sony VCT-870RM is a tripod for video camera recorders. The built-in Remote Commander in the panhandle allows you to operate compatible Sony camcorders.

    Remote Control Functions: The built-in remote control offers the following control functions for your Sony camcorder.

    • Recording (start/stop)
    • standby/lock
    • Zoom
    • Photo mode (on/off)

    Nylon Carrying Bag: The tripod comes with an easy to carry Nylon carrying bag with shoulder strap.

    Leg Extension: Each of the tripod's legs have 2 telescoping shafts to make it's height adjustable.

    Elevator Platform: Not only can you adjust the height of the tripod by adjusting the legs you can increase the height of the camcorder platform up to 13.25". This is handy when you have to use the tripod on a tabletop and cannot adjust the leg height or just to give your tripod added height along with the leg extension.

    2-Way Pan Head: The tripod features a 2-way pan head for easy portrait and landscape shooting.

    Leveler: The tripod has a built-in level so you know if your camcorder is sitting on level ground before shooting. Adjust the length of the legs so that the air bubble in the level stay in the red circle.

    Mounting the Camera: You should install the battery pack and media before mounting the camcorder to the tripod. The camcorder mounts with the treaded insert on bottom of the camcorder to the screw on the mounting platform of the tripod.

    Plugging in the Remote Control: If using a compatible Sony camcorder connect the remote pug securely to the LANC jack of the camcorder. When you are not using the Remote Commander, insert the remote plug into the remote plug holder securely to prevent the remote plug from being damaged.
