Installing Bose's 191 speakers in your new home? This rough-in kit lets you determine the speakers' locations before the drywall is installed. A pair of brackets are supplied; use flat-head screws (not included) to attach the brackets to the wall studs or ceiling joists. Then, have your builder run the wire and cut holes for the speakers.

Overview: This rough-in kit is designed for use with the Bose 191 in-wall/in-ceiling speakers. Using M5 x 0.8 x 50mm flat-head screws (not supplied), the brackets must be attached to wall studs or ceiling joists before the drywall is installed. Once the speakers are mounted, you will need to run the wire and cut holes for the speakers in the drywall.

These sheetmetal templates are not needed for a good installation in new construction. The paper templates that come with the Bose 191 speakers would work just as well. Save yourself the money and use the paper ones.
