Features
Overview: The Sanus Elements ELM805 PowerBridge is an in-wall power
and cable management system designed to simplify installation of cables and
wiring behind wall-mounted flat-panel TVs. This discreet system allows low
voltage cables and wires to be routed through the wall and into AV components,
surge protectors, or power conditioners for a professional home theater
installation. Color-coded outlets simplify installation without modifying the
existing circuit. The ELM805 can be connected to a local AC power outlet or
connected remotely in an AV equipment room. The Sanus PowerBridge includes an AC outlet wall-plate, AC
inlet wall-plate, 2 J-boxes, and a 6' heavy-gauge power cord.
In-Wall Solution: The Sanus ELM805 PowerBridge allows you to easily install in-wall cables and wiring behind
a wall-mounted flat-panel TV and through an existing wall. The ELM805 PowerBridge positions the AC outlet in the wall behind your
television for easy cable routing through the wall.
Installs Locally or Remotely: The Sanus ELM805 can be connected to a
local AC power source, a power conditioner, or surge protector in the same room;
or used remotely in a separate AV equipment room.
Connections: The ELM805 lets you route your Flat-panel TV's
low-voltage power cable and audio/video cables through the wall and into your AV components, surge protector, or power
conditioner for a professional home theater installation. The power outlet
wall-plate features a female 3-prong AC plug, and the power inlet wall-plate
features a male 3-prong AC plug. The PowerBridge's color-coded outlets simplify
installation without modifying the existing circuit. Connect the power outlet
and power inlet together with code-compliant building electrical in-wall wire
(sold separately). Your flat-panel TV then plugs into the power inlet and the included power cord
plugs into an existing power
receptacle, or surge protector to safely energize power to your connected HDTV
(there is no direct wiring to an electrical circuit). Each wall-plate also
features a 2.375" (W) x 1.0625" (H) opening for running your televisions
audio/video cables to your AV components.
Note: If the supplied power cord is not long enough, do not extend
the power cord with another extension cord. You must use a 3 prong-grounded,
UL LISTED extension cord. Do not exceed 15-feet in length.
Mounting: The power outlet and power inlet wall-plates can be
installed vertically or horizontally. The power outlet should be mounted so it
is hidden behind your wall-mounted flat-panel television and not interfere with
installation of your wall-mount bracket. The power inlet should
be mounted within 30-inches of an existing AC outlet. Each wall-plate will
require two cutouts (one for the included J-box and one for the cable opening).
A cardboard template is provided to help you.
