XM's Compact Sound System lets you enjoy XM Satellite Radio almost anywhere. Dock your XM radio, and listen as the built-in amplifier powers the four 2" full-range speakers to deliver full, rich sound. The sound system works with a number of XM radios, including the onyX, Edge, XMp3, XMp3i, and Xpress models. An optional adapter lets you dock your Pioneer inno or Samsung Helix radio.

Sleek and compact, the Compact Sound System fits perfectly in smaller spaces, like on your bookshelf, kitchen counter, or desk. The unit powers up with the included AC adapter, and XM includes a handy remote control for maximum convenience. A headphone jack in the back lets you listen privately, and you can plug an iPod® or other portable into the auxiliary input.

Features

Overview: The Audiovox XMAS100 XM Compact Sound System allows you to dock and play your XM2go portable XM Satellite Radio receiver in your home or office. The XMAS100 features a sleek aluminum case and black grille cloth. The units four rubber feet allow you to securely place the unit on your bedroom's dresser, your kitchen counter, or your office desk.

Note: The XMAS100 is not a stand-alone unit and requires a compatible XM2go portable XM Satellite Radio receiver along with a XM Satellite Radio subscription for operation.

XM Satellite Radio: XM Satellite Radio programming offers more than 170 digital radio channels including 69 channels of commercial free music, plus news, sports, talk, comedy, and other entertainment programming from coast to coast. A subscription is required for service.

Compatibility: The Audiovox XMAS100 comes supplied with five XM Radio-specific dock adapters for compatibility with the following XM2go portable XM Satellite Radio receivers - Audiovox Xpress, Audiovox XpressR, Audiovox XpressEZ, Delphi XpressRC, Delphi RoadyXT, Delphi SKYFi3, Pioneer inno (optional adapter required), Pioneer XMp3, and Samsung Helix (optional adapter required).

Note: The Pioneer inno and Samsung Helix require an optional adapter (220XMPA1, sold separately).

Amplifier/Speaker Section: The Audivox XMAS200 Compact Sound System features four full-range speakers, a four-channel digital audio process, bass boost, and a 15.2 watts RMS amplifier to deliver dynamic sound from your XM Satellite Radio's music. The Compact Sound System provides a frequency response of 100 to 20,000 Hz at +/-3dB.

XM Home Antenna: The high-gain antenna gives you interior or exterior mounting options, and features a hinged base for flexible positioning. The antenna can be placed on any horizontal surface or mounted vertically to an interior or exterior wall.

Note: It is recommended that the antenna be positioned near a south-facing window or outdoors with a clear view of the southern sky in order to receive the satellite signal.

Remote Control: The supplied IR wireless remote control allows for easy operation of the Audiovox XMAS100 and your portable XM2go XM Satellite Radio receiver. The XMAS100 itself only features Power, Volume, and Aux controls. Your compatible XM2go portable XM Satellite Radio's controls also remain operational.

Headphone Output: In addition to the units built-in amplifier and speakers, the XMAS100 is equipped with a rear-panel 3.5mm headphone output so you can listen to your XM Satellite Radio's music in private. Plugging in a set of headphones automatically mutes the system's speakers.

Auxiliary Input: The XMAS100 features a rear-panel 3.5mm auxiliary input for connection of an external audio source other than your compatible XM Satellite tuner.

Love the ability to now listen to XM in the house, yard, or anywhere there is an outlet and reception without having anything stuffed in my ears except music (most of the time), ocassionally comedy and anything else I want to listen to. I listen to XM more now than I ever did! Crutchfield had the BEST price....by far!!

Not able to be battery operated so still tied to electrical outlets

I was very surprised at the quality of sound that came from this small compact unit. I was really pleased with the signal strength no manner where I placed the antenna I received good reception. I have only had the Boom Box for 2 weeks but so far it has exceeded my expectations .

Small Compact Size with Great Sound

Cons:

Hard to keep the power cord plugged in if you move the unit any at all

was working great until it got wet by the rain. I move it outside in the good weather. One day it started to rain and I moved it inside and turned it off and ever since it will not power up again. It only got approx 5 minutes of rain/wet.

I purchased this product for work, I like it so much I bring it home sometimes on weekends. I took it home for the Christmas holidays and many of my family and friends commented on how good it sounded. I get comments on it all the time at work, people are always saying how good it sounds. It's a great product, I am seriously considering buying a second one for home.

I should also note that I have a home dock for my Xmp3 player which is hooked into a nice Yamaha stereo system, I still bring this one home as it is portable and I can use it throughout my entire house and garage.

Great Product, I highly recommend.
