Features
Disc Compatibility: The NAD C 565BEE Single Disc CD Player
can play CD, CD-R, and CD-RW discs.
CD-TEXT: The NAD C 565BEE supports CD-Text information such
as artist name and track titles. The CDs used must contain CD-Text information
for this feature to work.
MP3/WMA Playback: The C 565BEE supports MP3 and WMA files
that have been recorded onto CD-R or CD-RW discs, or stored on a USB device.
Wolfson DAC: Two 24-bit Wolfson digital to analog converters
(DACs) are used for the CD transport, the optical digital input, and the USB port.
The DACs are capable of sampling rates up to 192 kHz.
USB Input: The USB port on the front panel allows connection
of a flash or disc drive (HDD may require an outboard power supply). MP3 or WMA
files saved on the drive are then routed to the C 565BEE's DAC. Up to 128 folders,
each with up to 511 files and bit rates up to 320 kbps are supported.
Optical Input: You can utilize the C 565BEE's Wolfson DAC for
another digital source using the rear panel optical digital input. The input will
accept sampling frequencies up to 192 kHz.
SRC: A Sample Rate Conversion (SRC) circuit is built into
the C 565BEE that changes from the 44.1 kHz CD sampling rate to 96 kHz or 192
kHz, enabling a smoother conversion from digital to analog.
Digital Filter: There are five digital filters to choose from,
offering the ability to tune the player by ear. The digital filter is applied only
to the analog outputs.
Display Dimmer: The Vacuum Fluorescent Display (VFD) has two
brightness settings, or it can be turned off.
Wireless Remote Control: In addition the unit's from panel
controls, the player includes a dedicated full-feature IR wireless remote control
for easy operation.
Input and Output Notes
Digital Outputs: Two digital outputs, one optical (Toslink)
and one coaxial (RCA), are provided for sending signal to the digital input
terminals of a receiver, outboard D/A converter, or CD recorder.
Analog Output: The CD player also features RCA stereo outputs
for analog connection, utilizing the high quality Wolfson DACs.
12 Volt Trigger In: This unit can be turned on/off by another
device; the +12 volt trigger input is a 3.5mm mini-jack. When a cable is plugged
into this jack the front panel and remote power commands are disabled.
RS 232: The RS-232 port allows connection to a compatible PC
or external whole-house control system from companies such as AMX or Crestron.
IR In: This 3.5mm mini-jack input is used to control this unit
using an optional infrared repeater or the IR output of another component.
