Nice speaker wire. 12 guage and looks cool. I did not have an issue stripping back the clear outer jacket. You can use utility knife and carefully cut a slit length-wise, peal back and cut away, or, if you are not confident with the knife, just use a pair of small wire snips and cut along the length like a pair of sissors. Once the clear outer jacket is removed just use a standard pair of wire strippers. I needed 12 guage to handle the current levels on a subwoofer application; the size is what I expected.

This 12 gauge wire is as limber as a contortionist. This is the best stuff I,ve ever used. Kudos to streetwires.

Pros:

quality, flexible, powerful & great shielding.

Cons:

outer jacket a bit tough to remove, but it's worth a little patience.

Nice wire but a little confusing to order. The first time I order qty 1 and got one foot instead of one roll. The next time I ordered several feet because I didn"t realize the speaker box was pre-wired, I only need a few feet.

Good wire, didn't like the thicker outer jacket which made stripping the wire tedious and made the wire harder to bend.

Great speaker cables. The sound is amazing when using it with my JL Audio 600 amp and my JL Audio stealthbox. Only thing I will say it's a little bulky because of the tubing but other than that it's great. A word of advice make sure you buy enough cable it's always better to have extra and cut the excess.

This twisted pair business is bull

This is the worst cable to cut and strip. The outer sheath/jacket was impossible to rip off of the twisted pair inside. The only reason I even bought this was because it was twisted. Upon trying to actually strip the outer jacket off, I had to use a razor blade to slice down the middle of the wire the full length of what I wanted removed, as leaving even the smallest amount of outer jacket would prove futile. Leaving a small amount, it would grab the twisted pair and NOT PULL AWAY like a normal wire's jacket. Which might be useful, but not in my automotive experience. Nope. I gave it a 2 star-rating because it is a rad blue and clear color, and it is twisted, which I believe would help in reducing interference.... but at the high volumes, short lengths/runs, and wattage levels we are using it, is probably a non-issue. I feel Crutchfield over sold me on this product. Every other item they suggested has been gold. GOLD I tell you.

The Streetwires 12-gauge Ultra Cable Speaker Wire is unnecessarily over sized. The thick clear jacket that surrounds the twisted inner cable is too large. I have some old old school Streetwires 12-gauge speaker wire I purchase a long time ago and it is super flexible and resembles large lamp wire. I takes up far less space and it performance the same way is its new larger, spacey counterpart.

This is high quality speaker wire. I used it to run wire from my 4 channel amp to
speakers. Had a hard time finding connectors to fit the 12 gauge wire with prongs small
enough to fit in the connections on the amp, but can't complain about the wire itself.

This has to be absolutely the best speaker wire in the whole audio industry!!...and I really mean it!!...you won't know what a difference this 12 Ga. Street Wires speaker cable makes until you upgrade to it and hook up your subs and component speakers to it...your whole sound system will sound A LOT BETTER!!...I recommend 12 Ga. for your subs and 14 Ga. for your full-range or component speakers!!...STREET WIRES IS THE WAY TO GO!!!......AWESOME!!!!
