    Overview: The Sanus Foundations Natural Series NFV249 is a 49-inch wide three-shelf video stand with a contemporary design that blends perfectly into any home décor. Its hardwood and graphite-finished steel construction offers a superior combination of stability and elegance. The video stand features three extra-thick tempered-shelves. The video stand's top shelf rear corners are angled for positioning in corners. The NFV249's features include non-slip protector pads to isolate shelves from frame, open architecture for unrestricted airflow and concealed rear cable management channels

    Solid Construction: The NFV249 features a hardwood frame that is strong and solid for optimum acoustics.

    Flexible Positioning: The Video Stand's top shelf rear corners are angled to allow tight placement in corners of your room.

    Three Shelves: The Video Stand features three fixed tempered-glass shelves with polished edges that are strong and stylish. The top shelf will support up to 150 lbs, while the bottom shelf will support up to 80 lbs. The middle shelf will support up to 60 lbs. The bottom shelf has a compartment height of 8.0", while the middle shelf has a compartment height of 5.5".

    Open Architecture: The NFV249 utilizes open architecture to allow unrestricted airflow to keep your AV components cool and operating safely.

    Wire Management System: The Video Stand's wire management system helps keep your cables concealed and organized for a professional looking installation.     It is easy to assemble, looks good. Uneven painting on one of its legs, some chipped paint on another leg. Kept it because it looks better than the last one and I really needed to put my tv on something solid. It doesn't ship well.

    Easy to assemble and very sturdy. I would have liked to see a little more depth on the shelves as the equipment is big these days and I had to center my big Dennon amp so the wiring hung out of the back. If this unit had a closed back, the product would not have worked out. Still satisfied with the purchase and the price was great.

    The Sanus NFV249 is a great TV stand and a great value. It was easy to assemble, it is
    very sturdy, and looks great in our family room. Our new 52 inch Sony LCD HDTV fits
    perfectly on the top shelf. There is plenty of room for all our A/V components on the other
    two shelves.

    We spent much more time looking for the right TV stand than we did for our new TV. We
    have purchased BDI TV stands in the past. I am as happy with the Sanus NFV249 as I
    am with our last BDI stand which cost twice as much.

    Just received my NFV249 stand in the Mocha color. My review echoes the previous ones. The stand was very well packed with no damage. Assembly was quick and easy once I decided to read the instructions. It is very lightweight yet structurally strong, holding my new Panasonic 54" plasma display and heavy Onkyo receiver. The mocha color is beautiful and is more like a dark cherry. The color and smoked glass give it a elegant and contemporary look, making it look more expensive than what it actually is. My only minor quip is that the shelves are not very deep, forcing me to put my heavy receiver in the middle of the bottom shelf. Overall, the stand is worth every penny (especially with the free shipping from Crutchfield) and highly recommended.

    At first, I was unsure about glass shelving. But, when this arrived and I got it assembled, it was a very nice addition to the room. The mocha finish is almost a dark-medium cherry and perfectly complements the other furniture.
    The box had a little damage, but the contents were undamaged. Although moderately priced, it looks really expensive. I also purchased a Sony Home Theater System for my 46" Sony Bravia. This stand is the perfect match and the entire setup looks very expensive and is very functional. I still rate this unit as a 5 star, but I would like to see a rear center support with the cable holes and cover for a additional space to hide wiring and cables. Thanks again Crutchfield for a great product and super service! I hope this helps other shoppers as well.

    This is a great stand, while the packaging looked like it had been through it and back( I thought for sure the glass was cracked) to my surprise everything was in great condition. Holds up my 42" Panasonic Plasma with no problems. I only wish the stand was a bit deeper as my Pioneer reciever barely fits, the plastic covers over the back are kind of flimsy and dont seem like they will last like the rest of the unit. But other than that, initial setup took me about 25 minutes by myself, it is really easy to put together. The cherry finish looks awesome and matches my Polk LSI great.

    I ordered this stand 12/20/08 and recieved it today, 12/23/08. I was not expecting it to be delivered until after Christmas, which was a very pleasant surprise! The packaging was in very good condition and nothing was broken. The furniture was so well packed that unless the box had been dropped from the truck, I doubt it would have been damaged anyway. I took an inventory of the parts and the box contained exactly what it should have. Assembly was very easy. I did it by myself in 45 minutes. This is a great looking stand. I was concerned about ordering the Mocha color, but it is beautiful - more like a dark Cherry finish. The quality is exceptional. It is an inexpensive stand that does not look cheap at all. It is sturdy enough for what it is designed for. It is lightweight structurally and the glass is where most of the weight is, but it is very solid and strong enough to hold my LCD and its many componants. I am extremely pleased with this purchase and feel I got a good value as well as a great looking and functional TV/ componant stand.

    Worth the Money

    I bought this stand almost three years ago and it's holding up very well. The assembly was a bit tricky[we needed a second person to hold the metal cross members still while the other one tightened them down], but it looks good and is very sturdy. The only complaint I have it that the little "pads" that are supposed to stick on between the frame and the glass like to slip out from between them as soon as any weight is put on the glass. At first I was worried this would cause the glass to break, but so far, so good [and I've even moved it once]. Well worth the money and a nice piece of furniture to boot.

    We bought this, to match some component stereo cabinets, from 2003. Which we also purchased from Crutchfield, they were sitting beside our large projection. We upgraded to the Samsung 52" LN52A650 , which on its stand fits 99.99% perfect. The tv itself, hangs over a couple inches on each side but, the stand sits entirely on the glass with 8-10 inches on each side. The reason for the only 99.99% perfect is that they changed the screw covers on the front, from the 2003 component stereo stands. Other than that, its a complete match to the stereo cabinet models and is very strong and isn't going anywhere. If it holds up like the stereo component racks have done, this stand will be here for a very long time. The highth of the middle shelf, isn't as large as the bottom shelf so, my polk audio CS5 has to sit on the bottom shelf, which doesn't make for a great center channel experience, a great stand all around! Hope I've been able to help fellow shoppers!

    First of all the stand was shipped to my house in less than 48 hours from the time I ordered it. Not only was this more convienent than buying at my local store, but it was cheaper with the free shipping and no Jersey sales tax. The stand itself is very nice. The black finish seems very durable and it looks even better in person than it did in pictures on the site. Its not cheap mdf construction which is why it costs 329 vs 100-200 dollars. Well worth the money. Why put thousands of dollars of equipment on a cheap looking stand when you can show it off in style?

    Nice Stand, Could Be Improved

    The packaging arrived in good condition, with only minor tears in the external cardboard. Checking parts before assembly disclosed several missing bolts. I called Sanus, and the SCR assured me they would send out replacements, but I never got them. Luckily, I have an excellent independent hardware store nearby and they had the proper metric bolts although in dark bronze rather than black - no problem, since the bolts are on the rear. Assembly is relatively easy. The topmost glass shelf had a slight nick on the front edge! However, I couldn't bear to send it back, so I just turned the glass upside down and the nick is less noticeable. Glass was packed incorrectly - I did not find any shard in the packing.

    The stand does NOT have leg levelers, which could be a problem on uneven floors. I anticipated the problem by buying plastic glides and washers that I could use to shim the gliders, but the washers were not needed. I used the gliders because the legs do not have any glides on them and I did not want to scratch my wood floor. They also add an additional 5/8" in height which is good.

    Two design issues: 1. The stand is too low. This is not a problem limited to Sanus, however. I don't understand why they make these stands so low. Even with my 50" plasma, the screen center is slightly below eye level - which most professionals and AV enthusiasts donot recommend. 2. the "cord raceways" could be improved-they are difficult to install.

    Like another reviewer, my first package arrived damaged from shipping, and Crutchfield took care of the situation immediately. The stand is beautiful, and very functional. The description says it will accommodate up to 46" TVs, but my Panasonic 50" plasma fits perfectly on top. I have purchased other Sanus HT products (their speaker stands are excellent too) and highly recommend them to anyone looking for good quality furniture that won't break the bank like some other expensive brands.

    Crutchfield is great. First package arrived in damaged condition through no fault of Crutchfield. When I called they took care of the situation immediately and reshipped, no questions asked. Second package came 2 days later and was perfect.
    Shelves have to be built but was easy to do. I now have a 46" Samsung sitting on top of this very sturdy furniture. Highly recommended.
