Our take on the Velbon Ultra Series UT 43D

The six-section legs and extending center column give you a wide range of shooting options. Each leg section is easily locked or unlocked with one twist of the end tip. You can also open this tripod's legs fully, perfect for low-angle macro shots. The included ball head provides easy movement for panning and tilting, while the quick release plate makes for fast setup and breakdown. The UT 43D's 180-degree folding legs make it easy to fold up and stow in the included storage bag for convenient carrying.

    Amazing little device!

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This little gem packs up small enough to fit into a daybag backpack, yet unfolds high enough to hold my 5D-II with a 70-200 L-series lens on it. I bought it for a trip to Europe in September 2013, (which is still in the planning stages) but I expect great things from it. I've used it around town where I live with great results. I absolutely endorsed this product. It's ingenious design is strong, robust, and sturdy. It was a tad spendy, but you really do get what you pay for. 5 stars for sure.
    Pros:
Folds down to very small for its fully extended height. Strong enough for my DSLR and telephoto lens. Works well for macro shots also. Excellent design and engineering
    Cons:
I have found nothing wrong with this tripod, altought it was a bit more expensive than I thought I was going to have to spend on a travel tripod. But, it works, it does the job.
