About the Kicker 07DCVR102
What could look better in your trunk or cargo area than a pair of silver-colored Kicker CompVR 10" subs in a carpeted box sporting a killer logo? Kicker's 07DCVR102 ported enclosure comes ready to make some serious bass waves in your ride.
The two CompVR 10" subs feature hard-hitting polypropylene cones and double-stitched Santoprene rubber surrounds for extended excursion. The unique SoloKon design improves the cone's stability, and the perimeter venting system helps cool the sub's internal parts during demanding performances.
Sturdy 3/4" medium-density fiberboard ensures long-lasting performance from the enclosure. You'll get hassle-free connection to your amp with the single set of speaker terminals, and the 2-ohm impedance draws more power out of your mono sub amplifier.

Product Research
Cone Materials: The cone was developed using Kicker's SoloKon technology. The ultra high performance injection molded polypropylene cone remains rigid and minimizes cone flex, lowering harmonic distortion. Distortion in the cone is further reduced with new back bracing.
Surround: The optimized ribbed Santoprene surround allows extended cone excursion for additional bass output and higher SPL. The surround is double-stitched to the cone to add a mechanical fastener to the chemical adhesives. This prevents the cone and surround from separating in the harshest conditions.
Enhanced BAM (Basket And Motor) Assembly: The high-strength steel basket features a low-profile open design, and provides a solid foundation for the precision-aligned motor assembly. Perimeter venting in the BAM relieves pressure from under the spider, supports a linear excursion, and helps dissipate heat from the voice coil and motor structure.
UniPlate Construction: The woofer features a one-piece UniPlate construction with a vented hyper-extended pole piece and backplate. This unique design provides the following benefits:
- Optimizes heat transfer efficiency for cooler operation and maximum power handling ability
- Eliminates erratic magnetic flux from the voice coil gap
- Releases pressure under the suspension for uniform cone movement and responsive low bass
- Prevents the voice coil from bottoming out and corresponding damage
Tinsel Leads: The woofer features sleeved high-power tinsel lead wires to resist breakage and power-robbing resistance losses. The lead wires are terminated with polymer-based strain relieving mechanical fasteners.
Impedance: The two woofers are internally wired to present a 2 ohm load at the wire terminals.
Break-in Period: Due to the complex nature of Kicker Comp VR speakers, they require a break-in period in order to produce optimum low-bass response. The high-performance suspension system makes the speaker very stiff out-of-the-box. Approximately 2 weeks of daily playing will allow the suspension to break-in and reach its optimum equilibrium. A broken-in subwoofer will exhibit stronger bass performance, smoother response, and greater low-bass extension.
Subsonic Filter: The power handling specification listed for this enclosure was calculated using a 25Hz, 24dB/octave subsonic filter (sold separately). If a subsonic filter is not used, power handling may decrease, excessive port noise can occur, and the life of the woofer may be shortened
Human Fine-Tuned: Computer modeling and human fine-tuning allow Kicker CompVR subwoofer enclosures to offer perfectly matched bass performance.
Port Clearance: At some frequencies most of the bass is output from the vent so it needs at least four inches clearance to ensure adequate air flow.
Speaker Terminals: The spring loaded, nickel-plated terminals provide solid connections for speaker wire up to 8 gauge. Single banana plugs and pin connectors will also fit. The terminals are on the left side of the enclosure, beside the port.
