Features
Engine Noise: Noise, caused by the vehicle's engine, can enter your stereo system in one of two ways: through the power source and through the antenna. This noise increases and decreases with speed. This filter eliminates engine noise coming through the power source.
Note: For noise entering through the antenna, you should install an Antenna Noise Filter (see item # 003AS100).
Multiple Applications: This noise filter can be used for all audio components in your vehicle, including receivers, equalizers, tape players, CD players, CD changers, or small amplifiers.
Capacity: The S-15A noise filter is recommended for audio components rated up to 15 Amps and 250 watts.
Easy Installation: The filter can be mounted to a flat surface using the supplied mounting screws and mounting plate. You can also mount the filter using the supplied 10" wire tie. The filter features three wires that need to be spliced into the power and ground wires leading to the component. The red wire connects to the fused power wire leading to the radio. The blue wire connects to the power lead of the receiver (or component), and the black wire is connected to ground. The filter is most effective when mounted close to the radio.
