About the Polk Audio RTi150
When you want to reproduce your favorite music with beautiful clarity, the RTi150 is prepared. And when you want to fill your room to bursting with great Polk sound at top volumes, you just can't beat this big, bass-happy RTi tower. This tower packs a serious wallop with three 6-1/2" Dynamic Balance® woofers dedicated to reproducing low bass frequencies. The woofers are positioned down the lower half of the speaker, and vented by a floor-coupled Power Port. You get low, loud bass that's nevertheless tight and accurate!
Completing this effective design are a 6-1/2" Dynamic Balance midrange driver and a 1" silk/polymer dome tweeter. They're sealed and isolated from the woofer enclosure portion of the speaker — as a result, you can count on smooth, rich mids and delicate highs that are natural and true-to-life. Other innovative features of the RTi150 include a raised bezel and anti-diffraction grille, which provide a large, open, three-dimensional soundstage with pinpoint-accurate stereo imaging. Also included are two sets of gold-plated 5-way binding posts for biamping or biwiring, and adjustable spikes for carpeted or hardwood floors.
Like the rest of the RTi series, these towers aren't just about sounding good — they look fantastic, too! They're tall and slim, rather than bulky (nice if you're worried about filling up your room). And the lovely, real wood veneer comes in black or cherry finish, and is one of the major hallmarks that set Polk speakers apart from the rest.

Dynamic Balance: Dynamic Balance is a proprietary Polk Audio technology using laser imaging to determine what combination of speaker materials create the least amount of resonance. Eliminating resonance in speakers results in a wide, smooth response and low distortion.
Enclosure: The RTi150 features real wood veneer cabinets. The mid-woofer/tweeter array are housed in a sealed enclosure, isolated from the bottom portion of the cabinet. The three woofers are housed in a bass-reflex enclosure with a down-firing Power Port.
Silk/Polymer Dome Tweeter: The improved Dynamic Balance 1" silk/polymer dome tweeter provides clear, detailed highs.
Blue Composite Mid-Woofers: The speaker uses a blue polymer-composite Dynamic Balance mid-woofer for clean, accurate midrange and midbass. For a smoother response and improved durability, the woofers use butyl rubber surrounds.
Three Woofers: The RTi150 has three 6-1/2" long-throw poly-composite woofers. The three woofers combine the large surface area benefit of a single large woofer (100 square inches) with that of small woofers (high force-to-mass ratio) to give you tighter, punchier, more accurate bass response.
Power Port Technology: There is a downward firing port tube opening on the bottom of the speaker, which is directed to a funnel-shaped power port. This venting system allows air velocity to slow gradually, vastly reducing air turbulence, and delivering greater bass efficiency than conventional ports.
Pedestal: This speaker includes an attached pedestal. The power port fires down onto this pedestal helping to provide deep, evenly distributed bass. There is a female threaded insert in each bottom corner of the of the pedestal for installing the carpet spikes. The spikes have rubber feet attached. The rubber feet may be pulled off the spikes when the speakers are being set on a carpeted floor.
Anti-Diffraction Grille: The anti-diffraction grille and narrow baffle with raised driver bezel minimize grille diffraction for spacious, 3-dimensional imaging.
Dual 5-Way Binding Posts: The speaker has two sets of gold-plated 5-way binding posts connected by gold-plated jumpers. By removing the jumpers, you can separately use the two sets of binding posts to bi-amp or bi-wire the speakers. Note: In order to use banana plugs, it will be necessary to remove the plastic inserts from the center of the posts.
Carpet Spikes: When the spikes, along with the rubber feet, are installed, the speaker height increases to 47-1/8". With the spikes installed and the rubber feet removed, the speaker height is 46-1/16".
Frequency Response: The overall frequency response is 20Hz-27kHz and the -3dB frequency response is 26-26kHz.
Weight: Each speaker weighs 81 pounds.
