The Niles DBI-2 doorbell interface lets you hear the doorbell through your Niles MultiZone system. It connects to compatible MultiZone receivers, such as the Niles ZR-4 and the Niles ZR-6. When someone rings your doorbell, it chimes through your system's speakers, temporarily muting your music, so you can hear it wherever you are in your home. No more missing that pizza delivery because you're too busy rocking out!

Customize your system
Choose from the DBI-2's four built-in chimes or record one of your own. You can hook up two separate doorbells with two different chimes — use one tone to alert you when someone wants to drive in the front gate, and another when they're at the front door. The DBI-2 can even be used with your telephone paging system to provide home-wide alerts.

    Overview: The Niles DBI-2 Doorbell Interface provides pleasant doorbell chimes throughout a home installed with a Niles MultiZone or other compatible music system. External contact closure and voltage triggers (for both a front & rear door) are combined with a programmable trigger tone/delay to integrate with Niles MultiZone and similar control systems. The DBI-2 includes a choice of four pre-recorded and two custom recordable chimes to provide the appropriate doorbell chime for any home. A UL-listed, universal voltage power supply is included for your convenience.

    Compatibility: The Niles DBI-2 adds convenience & security to any Niles MultiZone System (such as the ZR-4 or ZR-6, sold separately) or other brands of Multizone Controllers with paging Inputs.

    Doorbell Chimes: The Niles DBI-2 plays doorbell chimes through your compatible MultiZone System. The DBI-2 includes four different doorbell sounds (two version of the standard doorbell chime sound & two version of the standard Westminster chime), and two custom chimes can also be recorded for a personalized doorbell sound.

    Note: The chime volume is adjustable.

    Dual Triggers: There are separate inputs for the front and rear doorbells, each can be triggered by a voltage or a contact closing.

    Note: Both doorbell inputs support standard or lighted doorbell buttons.

    Mounting: The DBI-2 can be either mounted on the back of a cabinet or on a wall using screws (not included). It also can be placed on a shelf using the included self-adhesive rubber feet.

    Power Supply: The DBI-2 operates off of standard household AC power supply using the supplied AC power adapter.
