The KCA-121B auxiliary input adapter allows you to convert the Ai-Net changer port on your Alpine stereo into an audio auxiliary input. One end of the adapter connects to your changer port, and the other end gives you a pair of female RCA jacks. Once connected, you can select the AUX source on your stereo and utilize the Bass Engine® sound-shaping functions to personalize the playback. 1-year warranty.

Note: When using the KCA-121B, a CD changer cannot be connected to the stereo; the KCA-801B auxiliary input adapter allows you to connect an auxiliary source and an Ai-NET changer to the stereo. The KCA-410C Versatile-Link™ Terminal allows you to feed audio from up to two auxiliary sources and two Ai-NET CD changers to the stereo.

It was a smiple aux cable needed to play my music from my Iphone and works flawlessly.
Pros:
Simple connection that needed a screwdriver and some patience
Cons:
It took a little time and some careful prying and the reassemble.

I had a KCA-420i iPod/iPhone adapter that was very cumbersome to use with my Alpine CDA-9833. The Apple interface is so much easier to navigate music/playlists than the Alpine headunit.

Cheap!
Cons:
Needs a mini-stereo to RCA for most likely applications.

I use this to connect a SiriusXM Radio to my CDA-9827. Works great! I had to also order a mini to RCA adapter cable. Plugeed it all in, enabled the AUX port through the f/setup button and its crystal clear. No more static using the FM transmitter!

Perfect fit. I love it. I use it everyday. I ordered the 6ft plug to go with it so my daughter can plug her dvd player to my sound system. I use it with my smart phone and ipod. Sounds clear. I'm happy I didn't have to buy a new radio. I love my radio.

The cable on Crutchfield website were cheapest among all the competitor went I bought from them. They were brand new, worked absolutely fine after installation.
I do a lot of online shopping and my experience is not always pleasant with online shopping site but I will highly recommend this Crutchfield website based on my past experience.

Used this with my Alpine CDA-9884. Works perfect. The head unit came with an iPod adapter that allows me to charge and control my iPod with the head unit itself. The KCA-121B also gives me the option (with an adapter cable) to control my iPod from the iPod itself (although it won't charge at the same time). Great when you have a passenger who wants to "drive" the music without trying to learn how to use the head unit. Works flawlessly.

The Alpine auxiliary input adapter cable is a 5-star purchase. My uses for it are twofold - cell phone and iPod. I decided to also purchase a 6 foot generic 3.5mm mini-stereo male to two RCA male speaker cable. I connected the female RCA ends of the auxiliary input adapter to the male RCAs of the speaker cable. Now, I use the 3.5mm male plug to connect to my cell phone or iPod.

I recently upgraded my cell phone to the new HTC Touch Pro. After downloading the latest audio/video podcast, I connected the phone to the 3.5mm male plug (through a separate HTC adapter) and bingo, all of the audio was broadcast through the stereo. This capability is killer and the sound is great!

I also use the 3.5mm plug to connect to my iPod shuffle. Again, the sound is great! Any audio device that has a headphone jack can be connected to the stereo with the auxiliary input adapter and additional cable that I mentioned above.

In sum, this auxiliary input adapter expands the capability of your Alpine radio. It was also easy to install.

After getting a Zune and wanting to play it through my car stereo I thought I was going to have to get a new receiver. Luckily though a rep at Crutchfield.com determined my current Alpine player had an aux port in the back and found the cables I needed to make it work. This part along with the PAC SNI-1 and Monster Mini Stereo - Dual RCA cables allows me to play my zune with no problems though my car. I was able to install it myself with the simple instructions that came with the shipment.

I ordered 2 of this since i have 2 older alpine H/U namely a cda9807 and a cda7977. I ordered the said item on the 22nd and got it today... dang super fast shipping. It works like a charm when i hooked it up with a monster power adapter to my 30gb ipod video and 8gb iPhone. What can I say... I'm a happy customer with Crutchfield even though the price is a little higher with other online retailers. Thanks again!!!

I used this adapter on my new Alpine IDA-X001 receiver and it works great with the Monster Mini Stereo Dual RCA cable. It fits VERY securely to the CD changer port and is insulated. Very happy with this adapter.
