The Honeycomb-Laminate (HCL) woofer cone consists of two layers of woven glass fiber with an epoxy-coated Nomex honeycomb core. This lightweight and rigid material generates bass with exceptional clarity and low distortion at all volume levels. The Plus One oversized cone design incorporates more surface area than a standard size cone, contributing to greater efficiency and larger output.
The pure titanium tweeters play with minimal distortion at high output levels to keep the treble bright and crisp. You can even rotate the tweeters to direct the sound toward your ears. The woofers' oversized voice coils contribute to increased power handling. Voice-matched external crossovers ensure flawless performance with undeniable accuracy.

Features
PlusOne HCL Woofers: The JBL Power Series P8652 speakers feature Honeycomb Laminate (HCL) cone woofers. This material consists of two woven glass fiber layers with an epoxy-coated Nomex honeycomb core. This makes the cone exceptionally stiff, yet lightweight. The benefits of HCL woofers include increased efficiency, exceptional midrange clarity and lower distortion at high output levels. The PlusOne woofer cones have more surface area than conventional 5"x7"/6"x8" speakers for increased bass output and increased efficiency.
UniPivot Titanium Tweeters: The speakers have pure-titanium, edge-driven dome tweeters. This style tweeter is similar to those found in high end home audio loudspeakers, and the benefits include reduced distortion at high output levels and superior integration with the mid/woofer. These ratcheting, UniPivot tweeters can be rotated, allowing tweeter direction to be maximized for optimum imaging.
Oversized Voice Coils: The P8652 features a voice coil larger than what is found on most models of the same size. This larger voice coil increases power handling while minimizing distortion.
Spider-Integrated Tinsel Leads: The spider integrated tinsel leads greatly enhance reliability and eliminate audible tinsel lead slap.
Crossovers: The speakers are equipped with computer-optimized passive outboard crossovers that have been voice-matched to ensure optimum imaging, clarity and detail. The dimensions of the crossovers are: Length=3.085", Width=1.835" Height=1.045, Input wires (20 gauge): 12", Output wires (20 gauge): 20".
Crossover Connections: Each crossover input lead is terminated with bare wire, and the two output leads (one for the woofer and one for the tweeter) are terminated with female quick-slides. The positive woofer lead has a 0.250" female quick-slide and the negative woofer lead has a 0.187" female quick-slide. The positive tweeter lead has a 0.205" female quick-slide and the negative tweeter lead has a 0.110" female quick-slide. These quick-slides connect directly to the woofer and tweeter terminals on each speaker.
