Disc Playback
CD Compatibility: The Dual XDM6351 head unit supports
CD-Audio, CD-R, and CD-RW playback.
MP3/WMA Compatible: The head unit also supports MP3
(8-320kbps)/WMA (8-384kbps) music file playback on CD-R and CD-RW discs. MP3/WMA
music files must be recorded in the following formats; ISO9660 Level 1 and 2 or
Joliet and Romeo. The unit also supports ID3 (v1.0/2.0) & WMA tags.
Playback Features: An inserted CD will automatically begin
playback. The head unit offers the following CD playback and search functions.
- Play/Pause: Play or pause tracks.
- Folder Access: Selects previous or next folder.
- Intro: Plays the first 10 seconds of each track in a folder.
- Track Select: Skip to the beginning of the next rack or return to
the beginning of the previous track.
- Track Jump: Skip ahead or back +/-10 tracks at a time.
- Fast Forward/Reverse: Fast forward or reverse through a selected
track.
- Repeat: Continuously repeat the current track.
- Random: Plays all tracks in the current folder in random order.
Music Search: The head unit's Music Search function lets you search
for MP3/WMA audio files by elapsed playing, track number, or character.
- Time Search: Choose the desired elapsed playing time in the
current song to go directly to that specific part of the song.
- Track/File Search: You can enter the number (1-100) of a track or
file to go directly to that particular music track/file.
- Character Search: Select a letter (A-Z) to display all the songs
from artists that have names beginning with the same letter.
Off Insert/Eject: The head unit does not have to be turned on to
insert or eject a
disc. Head unit will automatically turn on and begin playback when a disc
inserted.
Auto Reload: If an ejected disc is not removed within 10 seconds, the
unit will reload the disc.
USB/SD/Aux Input
USB Port: The Dual XDM6351 CD receiver is equipped with front-panel
full-speed USB (type-A) port for playback of MP3/WMA files stored on a USB mass storage
device. The unit will recognize USB mass storage device with internal memory up
to 32GB The unit's USB port (max. 500mA) will also charge your USB device during
connection.
Note: The head unit's
USB port does not support Apple iPod/iPhone/iPad or Microsoft Zune.
SD Card Slot: The Dual XDM6351 CD receiver is fitted with a
front-panel SD-card slot that supports playback of MP3/WMA files
stored on SD and SDHC memory cards (up to 32GB). The SD-card slot is hidden
behind the unit's detachable face.
Supported Media Files: The MP3/WMA/WAV music files stored on your USB mass storage device
or SD/SDHC memory card must meet the
following requirements for proper playback on the XDM6351.

Playback & Search Functions: When a USB memory device or
SD/SDHC memory card is first connected, playback will begin automatically. The
XDM6351 also offers the following playback and search features for MP3/WMA music files
stored on your USB memory device or SD/SDHC memory card.
- Play/Pause: Plays or pause tracks.

Auxiliary Input: The XDM6351 features a front-panel 3.5mm auxiliary
input for temporary connection of an external portable audio device, such as a portable MP3
player.
Radio Functions
AM/FM Tuner: The Dual XDM6351 features a built-in AM/FM
tuner with manual, seek, & preset tuning.
Preset Tuning: The built-in AM/FM tuner allows you to store
up to 18 FM station presets and 12 AM station presets. You can tune your presets
manually or have the head unit do it automatically.
Local: The Local function allows only strong radio stations
to be received, blocking stations with weaker signals.
Mono Mode: Selecting the Mono mode can improve reception in areas with
weak FM signals.
European Tuning: You can switch the tuner between USA or
European tuning.
Audio Section
MOSFET Amplifier: The Dual XDM6351 is equipped with a
MOSFET amplifier. Compared to conventional power supplies, the MOSFET
amplification circuit is smaller and more efficient, and it delivers increased
power with less distortion and absolutely zero on/off switching noise. More
power means louder and cleaner music at higher volumes because you're not
pushing the limits of the amplification circuit.
CEA2006 Compliant: The power specifications for the XDM6351
are compliant with the CEA2006 Mobile Amplifier Power Testing and Measurement
standards from the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA). These standards were
developed as a way to equitably compare power specs from model to model and
between manufacturers. The power output specs for the XDM6351 are as follows:
- CEA2006 Specs: 18 watts RMS x 4 channels (at 4 ohms,
20Hz-20kHz, 1% THD-N)
- Maximum Power Output: 60 watts x 4 channels (240 watts
total)
Preset EQ Curves: The Dual CD receiver features the following preset
EQ curves (Flat, Pop, Jazz, Rock, & Off/User) to customize your music
listening.
Bass &Treble: The Bass & Treble can be independently
adjusted from +/-7 when in Off/User EQ mode. Bass & Treble settings are retained
for each mode individually.
Loudness Curve: Activating this feature will enhance the
bass and treble frequencies when listening to music at low volume.
2V/2Ch Preamp Outputs: The Dual XDM6351 features a pair of
2-volt preamp outputs to connect an external amplifier. The preamp outputs are
fading and cannot be set to non-fading.
Programmable Turn-On Volume: You can program the unit to
turn on at a specific volume.
Key Beep: When this function is enabled, every button press
will output a beep tone.
Display Features
Detachable Face: The Dual CD receiver features a detachable
faceplate to deter theft. A hard plastic case is supplied to protect the
detachable face.
Note: An optional soft face case (142DFC1X,
sold separately) can be also purchased for this unit.
8-Character LCD: The XDM6351 features a 8 character LCD
with blue text & black background for easy viewing during the day or nighttime.
12/24 Hour Clock: The unit's built-in clock will display
12-hour AM/PM time in USA frequency spacing mode. In European frequency spacing
mode, the clock will display 24-hour time.
Remote Control
Wireless Remote Control: The XDM6351 comes supplied with an
18-button IR remote control which provides wireless control over the Dual
CD receiver.
