    Overview: The Arcam rWand wireless Apple-compatible transmitter lets you wirelessly stream music from your Apple iPod, iPhone, or iPad to the Arcam rCube (776RCUBEB, sold separately) or rDac-KW (776RDACKW, sold separately. The rWand wireless Apple-compatible transmitter simply plugs into your iPod's, iPhone's, or iPad's dock connector. Once connection is made, you can wirelessly stream music from your iPod, iPhone, or iPad to the Arcam rCube or rDac-KW.

    Kleer Technology: The Arcam rWand supports proprietary Kleer Technology lossless streaming. This allows wireless audio streaming between your computer and the Arcam rCube or rDac-KW. Kleer lossless technology offers full-bandwidth "CD-quality" music streaming with no drop outs.

    Note: You can stream to up to four Arcam rCubes and/or wireless rDacs.

    Operating Range: The Arcam rWand has a wireless range of approximately 33-feet (10m).

    Note: The battery level on your iPod, iPhone, or iPad may affect operating range.

    Dock Connector: The rWand uses the Apple 30-pin connector to connect to your Apple iPod, iPhone, or iPad.

    Audio Playback: The rWand supports wireless audio playback of your iPod, iPhone, or iPad from Arcam's rCube or wireless rDac.

    Note: The rWand does not support wireless transmission of video, still-images, metadata, or control functions.

    Great item, except for a few things.

    I bought the Arcam rWand together with the rDac. The music from my iPod sounded great, but I had a couple of issues with the rWand. First, the connection to the iPod is not all that secure because the rWand doesn't have the little tabs needed to hold it in place. Not a big deal for me. However, what was a big deal is that you cannot change the volume with the rWand. The review on this site states that one of the best features is being able to walk around with your rWand equipped iPod and that you can raise and/or lower the vloume. But it's not true. I called tech support and they confirmed it with the manufacturer that indeed, the unit does NOT adjust the volume. Also the rWand drains the iPod of power very quickly. I was only able to get roughly 3 hours of use from a fully charged iPod classic. Normally I get 7 hours (+) from my Ipod when connected with a cable. For these reasons, I returned the rWand & rDac.
    Pros:
    Great sound
    Cons:
    Can't adjust the vloume. Quick battery drain of the iPod. Connection isn't very secure.

    One thing worth mentioning is that this is actually the newer rWand+, not the older rWand as pictured. Before purchasing it, I called up Crutchfield and asked which one it was; they told me they thought it was the old one. I'm glad they were wrong. Crutchfield should update the product info and picture.

    I've only had it a day but it's worked with my iPhone 4 and iPad 3. Sometimes the connection does momentary drop between it and my rCube but I'm not sure which device is at fault. I'll need to do more testing.
